Well done to the Coventry - SISU Out !

No they're not. They are a building society who are owned by their account holders. The reputational impact being a local business of being associated with the club at the current time could be very damaging.

    Coventry United FC

    Tired buddy?

    QuickQuid our new shirt sponsors??

Hmm. They prey on vulnerable people and give loans to people who cannot afford it.

    Coventry United FC

If a breakaway club is started they should play in sky blue and be called something like: City of Coventry FC Coventry Singers FC Coventry 1883 FC Something that relates to CCFC and of course it should be fan owned, not controlled by 4 businessmen.

At which point do you personally switch off CCFC and to what degree?

Because it doesn't any longer represent the community of Coventry in my opinion. And guess what, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You have yours and I have mine. Now, that doesn't mean I would ever switch off completely. In fact, unless we were liquidated or moved MK Dons style, I...

Exactly. It's ridiculous. Now all we know is that the majority of CCFC fans oppose us playing in Walsall. Insightful.

    Very good article.

    Coventry United F.C.

It's not really a Phoenix/breakaway club. It's a local non league club formed by 4 blokes who support CCFC. No different to Cov sphinx, Cov Copsewood or any other Coventry team. They are just trying to use the current situation to try to pull punters in. Fair play to them. Just don't refer...

Many here are starting to think that way too. All we can ask of you guys, if you are opposed to the idea, is make your feelings known. Not sure either teams fans would be pleased about a ground share.

    ACL statement today apparently

A sensible post for once psgm1 and not a rant about the trust in sight. Agree with most of it (apart from the last sentence obviously). We can but wait and see what happens. CCFC playing at the Ricoh is the most sensible thing for all concerned, at least in the short term.

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

Nope. 124 was actual number of voters as opposed to votes.
  14. mark82

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

So 46 out of 124 voters (after taking out voters who voted in more than one category) would be up for starting a breakaway club if SISU were to carry out their plan and move away from Coventry. That's 37% of people who voted which is far more than I expected. Make of that what you will.

    Is this the way forward???

Have seen you on the banter a few times. Would be down there mucking in if I lived nearby. It's what a community club should be about.

TBH I think St. Andrews is a more likely venue anyway!

Yep, have followed Leamington for a few years now. Will probably go more this season.

I just think it will have the opposite impact to what people hope. Will just be ignored.

So you are saying the 10 votes prior to us finding out about it provides a true sample. Just think its an opportunity missed to find out what the Walsall fans think (not just the few who post on boards).
