I would back a new CCFC playing at the Ricoh....

Yes in theory. Not sure it wouldn't bankrupt them straight away though.

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

Surprises me the amount that would seemingly be happy to follow the club if they moved permanently outside Coventry. Although maybe I'm reading that wrong and it would just be that people would just not go to either.

Is there a blog anywhere that would explain our plight to those less familiar with goings on?

    Surely something like #KeepCCFCinCoventry

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

Good point well made. Blackpool also had small crowds so that is not necessarily a barrier. With a bit of success, and in Coventry, CCFC would get at least 15k crowds even if there was a breakaway club. Certainly if SISU were gone.

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

It could work the other way and reignite crowds. But yes, that is a risk. In terms of returning to the PL, that is a pipe dream anyway until we get a wealthy benefactor or football drastically changes its ways.

    Knowl[GMK] says.....

Rotherham moved literally a couple of miles because their landlord effectively kicked them out whilst they built their new ground in (not near) Rotherham. Don Valley is probably closer to Rotherham than the new build SISU stadium will be to Coventry.

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

Pretty much exactly what I would do.

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

CCFC are my team too. Always will be. However, I feel a disconnect at the current time and would happily support a breakaway club if it was done right (ie fan ownership). I would still follow CCFC and attend games when I could if they were in Coventry. Split allegiance if you like but I would...

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

This is a good question and I guess each individual would have their own opinion on whether they would go back to CCFC or continue to divide loyalties.

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

Not even if CCFC were liquidated?

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

3000 FC United fans disagree with you. Not necessarily disagreeing with you myself. Not quite sure where I stand at the moment to be honest.

I would back a new CCFC playing at the Ricoh....

Sphinx are in the Midland Alliance. That is 4 divisions below the conference premier. An FCUM type, fan owned club is more realistic but they certainly wouldn't be able to even afford the running costs at the Ricoh.

I would back a new CCFC playing at the Ricoh....

To make a point on SBT's point which you quoted - a new club would not/could not be in a worse position. It could/should be fan owned and would have no debt as opposed to £80 million debt. It would be in a lower league but certainly more healthy.

Would you support a breakaway/phoenix club?

There has been a lot of talk in many threads on this, so, would you support a phoenix or breakaway club in Coventry that was owned by the fans and gave everyone an equal vote in what happened at the club? This club would play in Sky Blue, have a name linked to CCFC and play in Coventry.

    Fixtures Tomorrow

I won't go to home games out of Coventry.

I would back a new CCFC playing at the Ricoh....

I think that would always be everyone's club on here. A "breakaway" club could work in conjunction. Ask the 3000 FC United "Members".

I would back a new CCFC playing at the Ricoh....

If a breakaway club was formed and then CCFC were liquidated, with the breakaway club picking up the name, history, etc.. would you then support it?

I would back a new CCFC playing at the Ricoh....

Phoenix club implies CCFC had folded, I guess you mean you wouldn't support a breakaway club? I would myself but only if it was fan owned (at least 51%). This, for me, would be a way of supporting my team without the corruption and expense of modern football. I would still go to some CCFC games...
