    Coventry V Preston match thread

Conditions are a bit of a leveller, but it's still disappointing to drop more home points. Those looking over their shoulder will be happy with that result. They'll be hoping the rearranged fixture comes in fine footballing weather to play to their advantage too...but hey-ho. Nevermind, keep the...

    Now is the time.....

I reckon we should remember some people began supporting when we were in the top-flight. Lower leagues are so poorly promoted in the media that these people are almost discouraged from being interested...it's too much effort for them. Also, we pay money to be entertained - that entertainment has...

    Now is the time.....

"Ouch!" It's a fair point. A trap many of us fall into is thinking we are all the same & posting stuff without thinking it might annoy or upset others. I go to the gym 3x a week...am I a regular? Or do I need to go every day to be one? There are many people working in Management that are...

Typical City. We go on a roll just before the world ends...you don't think that our good form I's result of everyone just not bothering anymore since "The end I's nigh"?

It's not up to me - mcgoldrick

And probably blame SISU! These things are complicated & subsequently dictated simply by the modern-age God - money! Goodie probably has an agreement with his agent which means his agent gets the best deal (money!)...& Goldie agrees to take it. The agreement with NF will mean they have to...

This is why Liverpool are going down the pan

Should this thread be on a Liverpool chat site? We support Coventry here...so I hope I will be in the majority that asks "Who cares"?

    Have we got any songwriters?

What about right up to his 1st goal... Goldie's gonna get ya! Or if he leaves & Bell starts knocking some in we could easily return to the original song "Belly's gonna get ya" ad'? Sorry but I have no idea what it advertised.

    Put up or shut up.

You never know...he may have the balls to stand up to his agent & not actually follow the money.

    CCFC Appoint Restructing Experts

I could advise them for nothing. Use the dosh they were told by the court to pay into a seperate account as a measure of goodwill, & then include a rebate as part of the negotiation. It seems to me that CCFC/SISU will pay dearly whatever the outcome. I cannot see how they have much of a leg to...

Where have all the Thorn lover's gone

I agree - HE'S LEFT! Some just refuse to move on tho. "I was right"/"I knew best" attitudes methinks. Even yesterday's match thread saw him get several mentions post game. I think i might be sneeringly referred to as a "Thorn lover" because I stuck up for him in the face of the vitriolic...

    Can we do it then?

I said after the Brentford loss that a Goodwin of 6/7 wins in our next 10 L1 games would put us in the mix. Right now I think it's 6 wins in 8...& we're just entering the mix. Look at the fixtures for the next few weeks...there are lots of head to heads with teams above us. All we have to do is...

    Administration looms

In fairness mate - it might be a point of discussion at the local barber's between two of the club's admin staff. I wouldn't count that as inside information nor worthy of further debate on here either.

Port Vale "[We'll] be prepared to do a ground share [with City]"

Might as well go to the Bescot Stadium...it's quicker/easier to get to at about 30m from the Ricoh. Trains close by too. AND like with Port Vale it keeps the money in football (I use the term loosely in Walsall's case) rather than Alexander Stadium as someone suggested in another thread earlier.

    All Ricoh/ alternative ground comments.

Might as well go to the Bescot Stadium...it's quicker/easier to get to at the best of times although further at about 30m from the Ricoh. Trains close by too. AND it keeps the money in football (I use the term loosely in Walsall's case)

    Hinckley Confirm Coventry Discussions

Thanks for your thoughts & encouragement - I guess having been there, you can fully understand that we're not feeling quite so optimistic about the situation ourselves. Good luck in the Championship...SW are a big club & deserve Prem status IMO & I hope you get it. Always had a soft spot for...

SISU: A Millionaire Right Under Their Noses!

Is that what we all want? A potentially short-term sugar-daddy who could take his cash anywhere anytime? Agree may accompany short-term relative success too however. A different type of worry might be nice for a while though, at least
