Problem with hockey is that you can barely follow the puck most of the time. American football is dull as fuck to watch in person, but is a perfect sport for TV.

    My beautiful wife RIP,

Stephen Colbert has done some extremely powerful interviews on the subject of grief - he lost his father and two of his brothers in a plane crash as a kid. The Andrew Garfield one in particular blew me away, which I wasn’t expecting. Well worth a watch - we all have to process it sometime.

Stoke game likely to be postponed

So Stoke saw what Rotherham did last season and thought "Yeah, screw fixture congestion, this is the way to rack up points", before scanning the fixture list and working out which games they might want to sack off? There is a much simpler explanation here, it's just in some people's...

Stoke game likely to be postponed

Yes, as we all remember, this strategy worked wonders for Rotherham last year, who didn't suffer any problems at all as a result of all the postponements they managed to engineer.

    25% of EFL

Seems dumb for a player to deliberately make it more likely they won't be in peak condition and could miss out on thousands in appearance bonuses. No more sympathy for a player not taking the vaccine than I would for a player who's caning it on the booze in between games. Plenty of players have...

Stoke game likely to be postponed

Are we REALLY going to do the whole charade of "they're too scared/faking it" again? Didn't make sense when Rotherham did it last year and doesn't make sense now.

    Stoke/Millwall/Luton attendances

I'm not going on Saturday. Off on a big foreign trip next week for Christmas and New Year's, and only just got the booster, so I've decided not to risk it. Feel shit about it tbh.

Nice to see all the concern for nurses and NHS staff's working conditions after half this board was foaming at the idea of them getting a pay rise earlier this year.

Funny that the same people who were moaning that the original vaccine rollout wasn't going quickly enough when everything was locked down are now saying they want to "wait and see" before they get full protection from the same vaccines.

O hare doesn’t flatter to deceive

No ulterior motive in asking - I’m obviously aware that goalscoring isn’t a big part of his game. His miss yesterday was awful but I still think he’s great. I’d just be interested to see how his conversion rate stacks up next to other players who, say, occupy similar average positions on the pitch.

How does his xG-G stack up to other attacking midfielders in this league?

O hare doesn’t flatter to deceive

Honestly never seen a player sum themselves up better in one passage of play than that high press and chip shot. Never mind scouting reports or YouTube compilations, next time someone asks you what O’Hare is like you can just show them that five seconds of footage, amazing stuff.

    Migrants crossing from Europe

Not that I agree with this particular hypothetical, but saying "Russia and China won't do it so let's not bother" isn't exactly the kind of 'Global Britain' leadership that this government is supposedly so keen on.

    Migrants crossing from Europe

People all over the world grow up being taught our language, learning our history, watching our films, following our football, listening to the World Service, absorbing our culture. It’s been an Anglo-centric world since the days of Empire, and since then we’ve built an economy based around...
