    Has London Bridge fallen ?

I doubt it would have changed much for Boris long term, but we might have seen the rather cringeworthy ‘Elizabeth the Great’ get more traction. He was clearly busting for a ‘People’s Princess’ moment after she died.

Nowhere have I suggested selling him in January - you’d get less money for him and he’d be much harder to replace. Are Hull in a better place than they were before they sold Bowen? Recent form notwithstanding I’d say they made the correct call. I’m sure they didn’t want to move on their best...

Depends who you ask - seems to have worked out ok for Hull and Brentford. You say the alternative is apparently two years of watching Vik try and stop us getting relegated single-handedly while the rest of the squad goes nowhere - in which case, I suppose, yippee?

Transfer Rumour Kasey Palmer - Confirmed

Supposedly we were preparing at the start of the season to play with O’Hare and Palmer together at the top of the box, and the strikers were looking forward to it. According to, uhhh, Matty Godden.

If we got an 8-figure fee and could reinvest some of that on several squad improvements, then yes. We would hardly be the first team to do it.

He’s certainly in the conversation! Off the top of my head, I imagine that Sarr, Chair and Brereton Diaz would have something to say about it!

    And breathe

Who suggested selling him in January? The strategy of death by a thousand cuts and letting our most valuable assets wind down their contracts while the team struggled hasn’t worked great historically either.

    And breathe

Really? Foreign clubs can open talks with him about a free transfer in little more than a year from now. How much do you think we’d get for Hamer?

    And breathe

The philosophy isn’t to sell Gyokeres and not replace him (which, well spotted, would likely lead to relegation). The philosophy is to raise funds and improve a squad that, by your appraisal, is a relegation candidate at best anyway. If selling Gyokeres isn’t an option, what’s your alternative?

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Are you sure you want to go down the route of who’d look better in a photo op?

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

You are correct that if people with dumb views only shared other views that I agreed with instead, I would like them more. Might even invite them over for a photo op!

Starmer vs Blackford at PMQs would surely have to be moved to primetime.

Good to know next time any company faces a margin call and the threat of imminent bankruptcy they can just ask their creditors for more time because the Prime Minister went to Oxford. Will solve a lot of problems going forward.

Well if the end goal is to personally enrich themselves as much as possible, surely they go for the former?

Bank of England now joining the IMF in a spot of door knocking. You know your budget has gone well when the central bank launches an emergency intervention in the name of financial stability.

Wait, has he given up on his evil money-making plan already? These Bond villains have no stomach for it these days.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Investors getting advance intel on a budget and making money off it is, of course, extremely believable. I’m talking about people on here who claim that Kwarteng and Truss’ entire budget strategy is just a ruse, and part of some personal get-rich-quick scheme. It’s a fun story to tell yourself...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I mean, I think they have some pretty dumb beliefs about how to run an economy, and they’re backfiring quickly. You appear to think the only explanation for people acting differently from how you would do it is if there’s some kind of evil conspiracy afoot - which ironically puts you in the...

Pretty ridiculous, but didn’t you claim yesterday that this whole charade is actually a Tory plot?

What the fuck has happened to England

I assume the reason England don’t do this more often is the same reason we don’t at Coventry - our back four isn’t competent enough to deal with the opposition going forward. A back three makes that a lot easier to deal with.
