We haven’t had an asset as valuable as Gyokeres in more than 20 years. If we’re not going to cash in on that when he’s at peak value then we better have a damn good reason for it, and I haven’t seen a good explanation yet - especially given how skint we are and how weak the rest of the squad is.

Sell Gyokeres and even without replacing him we have enough options and wherewithal up front to muddle through the season - it’s basically the same set of strikers we had in 20/21. Sell Hyam and we’re left with two senior CBs on the books permanently to staff a back three. Better hope Callum...
