    Things that annoy you

It’s crazy, all I did was say unprompted that I hope every journalist on the planet gets put out of work, now people are trying to suggest I don’t like the press?

    23/24 Season Tickets

The entire problem was that it was completely unexpected on the club’s part, yes. Six months on and you’re so close to getting it!

There was nothing you could have done Mr Boddy sir, don’t listen to the others, I’m still ever so grateful for all your hard work, I just wish you’d charge me more for my season ticket, then we’d surely be on our way etc etc

I doubt the teachers took the decision to close the school lightly. I understand that in an ideal world you could pick and choose when your child attends school according to when it’s most convenient for you, but they’ve not exactly closed the school on a whim, have they?

    Filthy journalists

So you don’t want anything about journalism itself to change, you just don’t want so many humans to do it?

    Filthy journalists

I’m talking more about things like specialist local or international coverage. There often isn’t an obvious benefit in terms of clicks/sales/ratings in covering local council meetings, or famines in small sub-Saharan countries etc. So why do newspapers cover them? And would an AI newsbot have...

    Filthy journalists

Of course not, but news outlets aren’t driven just by what they think most people will read/click. They have editorial priorities which extend beyond that. I know you think some sort of magic AI will be easily able to replicate that, but I don’t think it’ll be quite so straightforward.

    Filthy journalists

Post in here to express your rage/admiration at journalists Not really, but you do realise that journalism isn’t just writing? Nor is it solely dictated by unit sales, or even audience interest?
