That would be Frank Gardner. I don’t see any of these claims from him anywhere online - I assume he’s deleted them in embarrassment. Maybe Grendel will do the same now he’s been duped?

Who is Frank Gardener? Clearly he was wrong - you’re never beating the allegations at this rate.

He’s been gone less than a month - our team isn’t collapsing all of a sudden because one coach left.

Do people not feel embarrassed jumping into these threads time and time again to suggest there’s some kind of religious/ideological element to attacks like these before they have any idea who’s behind them?

    Robins on CWR

If the reporter’s been assigned to a different game tomorrow, then probably not! Reporters don’t just skip doing their jobs and miss deadlines because their interviewees might not feel like it. That isn’t how news organisations work - you obviously know this.

Personally I just want as much coverage of the club as possible - I’m not particularly bothered if Robins gets upset, or would rather do it tomorrow.

And yet offering an alternative question is apparently beyond your abilities! I think you may be overestimating the sophistication of TalkSport listeners - it’s an obvious and innocuous question, the response from Robins is a bit petty, the response from you is downright odd.

Is this honestly how you’d expect the editor to react? You definitely weren’t a creative writing teacher, were you. Strachan’s responses to reporters were brilliant.

“Hey BSB, did you get that Mark Robins quote I asked you for?” “No boss, he was looking a bit sad so I thought I’d try him again tomorrow. Hope you can still fill the airtime though.”

The reporter’s not there to empathise with him, he’s there to get a quote from him that’s of interest to TalkSport listeners - it’s not a therapy session. Fair enough if you want less media coverage of our club.

Your view 20 minutes ago was that the offers were about to be withdrawn. Seems to me like a good incentive to work hard!

So he must be playing hell for leather to get the best deal possible then?

Funnily enough, a reporter from a national broadcaster who’s interviewing the manager of a team with seemingly no games of note left to play except for an FA Cup semifinal next week may choose to ask a question about it, yes.

So is he trying hard to impress them or not? You make it sound like his next contract is in jeopardy.
  18. S

    Robins on CWR

It’s a perfectly reasonable, if not downright obvious question
  19. S

    Callum O'Hare

Again - if he hasn’t signed a contract with them then they’re not “his new employers”. And all this nonsense about him half-assing games so he can save himself for next season becomes even more ludicrous if we’re now claiming he hasn’t even agreed terms with anyone yet.
