Surely given that Stoke City also have their own Head of Recruitment, Head of Performance, AND a Sporting Director overseeing the whole football operation, it would be impossible for Robins to appoint any of his own staff, sign any of his own players etc? That’s how it works right?

EMC has played as many games at RW and CF/AM as he has at left wing, but ok!

Wright, Rudoni, EMC and BTA all play in multiple positions, and it’s helped keep all of them in the side.

I think his lack of positional flexibility counts against him, yes. Most of our attacking midfielders and forwards can operate in a few different positions, and it helps them get minutes over other players.

The problem with Sakamoto is that he is only effective in one specific position. If we ever deviate from this formation, or if we sign a better RW, then he will offer us very little.
