All you Clarke doubters ha ha ha

At least he isn't an SBT. It'd get really confusing around here with all these SBTs. Can you imagine SBT on SBT talking about how the SBT, after taking over the club, can't afford to give our top-scoring SBT a new contract.

Glen, I'm going to give you a like for that. I hope this doesn't sound mean - and it isn't intended that way - but I only recall seeing you on here depressed after Coventry losses. To see you on here seemingly happy about how CCFC are doing on the field under Mark Robins is great! :)

C'mon City. Hold on (or even better get another!)

I don't get your unwavering hatred of 4-4-2 Taylor. Why not play the tactics and formation that a) suits our player b) best counters the opposition and c) addresses changing game conditions. In some games or periods of games 4-2-3-1 might be best, other times an orthodox 4-4-2 might be best or...

It's getting all sexy Spanish on ESPN's match commentary: "Franck Moussa (Coventry City) hits a pierna izquierda shot from the left channel but it goes off target: Normal" "David Amoo (Tranmere Rovers) hits a pierna derecha shot from the left penalty area" I think in old Ronglish that...

ACL and the City Council announcement

Grego you're displaying some ignorance here which is doing you little credit. PWKH is both Clerk to the Trustees of the Higgs charity and a member of the board of ACL and I for one am grateful that he takes the time to tell us what he can from his perspective. The Council loan to ACL allows...

    Club finally responds to yesterday....

Apart from that line "Our stated policy of not commenting to the media as negotiations continue regarding the stadium's rent, will continue" - which just doesn't sit right given what has gone before - the statement is, for once, a fairly sensible one from Sisu IMHO.

ACL and the City Council announcement

I would imagine they looked at the figures on a worst case scenario where CCFC are not paying tenants of the Ricoh Arena. I'm sure they can be fairly confident of how that scenario plays out given they have several months of real data on what ACL's finances look like without CCFC paying rent...

ACL and the City Council announcement

It's basically money from the Government so it is essentially taxpayers' money. Did you also hear him say that the deal reduces the risk to Coventry's taxpayers by securing their stake in the Ricoh lease?

ACL and the City Council announcement

I guess with the 'make a quick buck by distressing ACL & buying it out' option removed, there might be a couple of million pounds to be saved by Sisu winding up CCFC. They may decide they don't want to incur further losses if the best chance of a return is now to get the club back into the...

    Council announcement today?

Or providing the funds to build a roof on the Ricoh to turn it into a fully-fledged indoor arena should the football club no longer wish to pay to play there? (Shot in the dark #3) :) Or some similar course of action that allows ACL to make up the loss or revenue streams? It might not...

    Council announcement today?

Loing at the agendas the only item I could even vaguely imagine it appearing under (if it was not bought up as an urgent item) was a private one (i.e. Not discussed in public) about Capital Refinancing. As council finances should normally be open to public discussion (it's public money) the idea...

Points Needed For A Top 6 Finish Over The Last 8 Years

Aye and the stats clearly suggests that whichever way you cut it we really need to win more than half our remaining games to realistically remain in the hunt. The good news is that, by my reckoning, the team's win ratio under Mark Robins is 50% - which is just about there for giving us 10...

Points Needed For A Top 6 Finish Over The Last 8 Years

I'm not sure I dare call your maths into question OSB, but you say to meet the usual averages we need 38 more points and 10 more wins and can lose no more than 3 times. To achieve 38 points with 10 more wins we'd need to draw 8 games. There are 19 left, leaving just one defeat available. Of...
