    EFL Stadium Vote

I voted A, on the basis that SISU won't be here forever but I want my club to be. Voting B just feels to me like a temporary stay of execution - time passes quickly, and it could be used to kill the club in 3 years time with an argument that the fans wanted it that way. C is just a waste of an...

    Head of Recruitment Interview

Two year contracts are great because it means if things go wrong you're not saddled with them ala David Bell, and if they have a solid first season they may sell for a decent amount. The problem with them is that the Jordy Hiwula's of this world who do well but don't set the world alight are in...

    Council Statement due today

I'm putting my tin hat on before I make this point. SISU were, and perhaps still will be, legally allowed to challenge the sale of the Ricoh. Forget the 'big, bad SISU' narrative for a moment; to make dropping litigation a prerequisite of a new deal is tantamount to blackmail. It may not be...

    Boddy Article

I think the difference is that this time the club has tried to distance itself from the owners, and has openly said they want to stay at the Ricoh. If we don't, then it looks as if we're being thrown out of the city. This wasn't the case last time. But that argument becomes obviously complicated...

    Boddy Article

Boddy said this a few days ago. Not sure why CovLive have posted it today - must be desperately short of stories (as always).

If you think Hiwula is rubbish then you are clueless

Yesterday, second half in particular, was notable for the pace, power and skillful ball control of attacks from Bright, Bakayoko and Hiwula. I haven't seen us attack quite like that for years. It was great fun, and long may it continue. In fact, with two of those three being our players...

Match Thread Peterborough United vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 16th Mar

You have to take into account that it's 15 months since his debut. I think he's done significantly more than players rated more highly than him have in the past (Conor Thomas, Gael Bigirimana and Ben Stevenson spring to mind). He's only going to get better.

    Bakayoko stat breakdown

Interestingly, this is now his highest scoring season in league football. Edit: it's not really that interesting.

    Black but not black enough

Maybe I'm being naive, but I would expect the role to go to the best person for the job. When Idris Elba was being touted for the role of James Bond, traditionally played by a white man, there was no outcry over his colour, because he was seen as a great candidate. Surely the only way to get rid...

Disgrace. Shows utter contempt to all who hold the club close to their hearts.

    Match Thread Westminster Meeting Thread

"Matters were raised in an open and at times frank exchange". A frank exchange is code. See below: A spokesman for Dick Cheney told reporters Thursday that the vice president had just engaged in a "frank exchange of views"with Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy. What he meant, it now seems, is that...

SISU Statement - Article From Sky Sports

If there is even a grain of truth in some of SISUs claims, then there is a scandal here that should be far bigger than football. Council collusion, blackmail, abuse of public office. I hope the national press picks this up and investigates damn hard.

SISU Statement - Article From Sky Sports

This statement from SISU is actually a great way to open the negotiations at Westminster. The Council can hardly be seen to say no to what amounts to a reasonable request.

SISU Statement - Article From Sky Sports

I'm more inclined to believe SISU than the Council. I don't believe SISU would be as bold and brash as to lie in such detail.

    Fleetwood Player Ratings

Bakayoko is a weird one. He finds great goalscoring positions at times without seeming to make much effort to get into them. And sometimes he controls the ball really well, and then couldn't trap a bag of cement. He can be amazingly inconsistent in the space of just a few seconds. He gets a 7...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Fleetwood Town Match Thread - Tuesday 12th Mar

Good win. Seems like I go against the grain, because I thought Meyler did well. He's unfit, that's clear, but he headed the ball more than I've seen any of our midfielders do in ages, and he kept rallying the troops like an old head should. I don't think we'd have won without him.
