Well I didn't expect that 2nd highest shots stat. Imagine how good we'll be when we aim them at the goal! Edit: just checked and we're 20th for number (not percentage) of shots on target, at 3.67 per game. We average 14.5 shots per game, so 25%. Edit2: Barnsley average 19.33 shots per game...

I think some people we on the verge of calling for his head far earlier than now. I understand the frustration, but expectation had to be tempered with realism; virtually a whole new team will take time to learn how each other play.

He seem like a proper finisher. I know its been said, but it really does make you wonder where Bakayoko and Hiwula fit in. Without a formation change, I can't see them getting any significant game time. I mean, Hiwula came with a decent reputation and played 43 games at this level last season...

It seems that he places a lot of shots right into the corner, some near-post, some far-post. He seems to have a good range of finishing, and is confident with it. I'm optimistic.

I agree, but for Maddison it's the fact he's creative and has started the season brightly. For Wilson, he's been on top form and been back from injury for a while. When you see Welbeck (who can't get a game), Loftus-Cheek (who can't get a game) and Lallana (a far more recent injury than Wilson)...

I suppose he's being loyal to a lot of players who got him to a Semi-Final. That said, we got there by luck and struggled to score from open play. The future is only as bright as the manager picking the squad.
