Match Thread Fleetwood Town vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 28th Jan

I wonder if we're trying to use the unpredictability of the wind to our advantage, but yeah, we're playing more long ball tonight and it ain't pretty.

Match Thread Fleetwood Town vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 28th Jan

They're quite aggressive on the press. Hopefully they start to tire soon.

    FA Cup 5th Round

A tram would flatten most teams, to be fair.

    Worst misses

Was that was the game when we had both Nii Lamptey and Ndlovu playing? If so, that was the first one that sprung to my mind too.

    Mcfadzean

McFadz has been a rock for most of the season, with the exception of perhaps 3 or 4 games when his form was iffy. I thought the back 3 today were incredibly composed. As they have been for large chunks of the season.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Birmingham City Match Thread - Saturday 25th Jan

The confidence we'll get from that should put extra spring in the players' steps. Matched, and at times outplayed, a decent Championship team. The back 3 never looked troubled.

    Tuesday Night Football

Nice way to entice those who were going for a one-off visit on Saturday. If they enjoy it, hopefully they'll come back. Good marketing plan imho.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Birmingham City Match Thread - Saturday 25th Jan

I expect the game to be hard fought, but Championship class will win on the day. A suspect penalty and a defensive mix-up to make it 0-2 to the Blues.

Lowest league defeats in a season

Only Liverpool (0) and West Brom (2) have less league defeats than us in the whole football league. This must be the least defeats at this stage of a season in my lifetime.

Match Thread Doncaster Rovers vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 18th Jan

Hmmm. Tinfoil hat on head ala Joe Wicks in Eastenders, but I wonder if they would leak something out about a takeover to try and derail the promotion train.

Tim Kalns aka @ Liesreid is starting to feel the heat

Those twitter accounts are clearly from small, irrelevant people who are desperate for attention. The type who is angry at the world for their own repeated failings, and craves some kind of power other than that given to them by putting the bins out a night too early. Bless their poor...

Match Thread Coventry City v Bristol Rovers - Tuesday 14th January 2020

Just seen Pask's goal. He was like Roadrunner. Didn't realise he was that rapid. The defender must have had 5 yards on him. Unreal.

3 new sites identified by SISU/Council

That quote in the Telegraph is there just to stir the pot again. They only have one message which is 'big, bad SISU'. So now we'll get people saying 'Wasps want to talk and SISU don't'.

What a shock... the trust "speak up"

Genuine question- when was the last time the trust actually created a successful outcome? I'm not counting protests that failed, btw.

    Where will we finish (new)

It's so tough to make a call on this; Doncaster, Fleetwood, Pompey are all there or thereabouts, alongside the current top 6. If every team won their games in hand on the top two (which may not be possible depending on the match-ups) there would be a cigarette paper between them. I'm going to...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. MK Dons Match Thread - Saturday 11th Jan

I guess the thing in our favour is that this seems to be a more resilient CCFC than we're used to. Perhaps we'll still win.

Match Thread Coventry City vs. MK Dons Match Thread - Saturday 11th Jan

I recently found out that possession stats are fairly pointless. This is the official method of calculation: During the game, the passes for each team are totalled up and then each team’s total is divided by the game total to produce a percentage figure which shows the percentage of the game...

I read that this was written by some kid on an apprenticeship or work placement of some kind, so I wouldn't be too harsh on the lad.
