Has ACL ever offered the rent deal to Otium or CCFC that it offered to administrator?

Yes, it's confusing isn't it? All day I have been going on about the club needing to own ACL and that I am lost as to why JS keep talking about ownership of the freehold. So when I say 'stadium' I actually mean the stuff that matters ... the businesses, not the Bricks and mortars. I mean ACL...

Has ACL ever offered the rent deal to Otium or CCFC that it offered to administrator?

I don't believe any third parties should deal with CCFC on non-commercial terms. But I do believe CCC are different to other third parties. The club is much more than another business - it is an integral and historic part of the city and the community. When we won on Wembley it was Coventry who...

Has ACL ever offered the rent deal to Otium or CCFC that it offered to administrator?

Ah, but then it seems you miss the logic: If sisu are to ever get a positive return of their investments, it would almost certainly require they take the club to the PL. If they do that - I can forgive them a lot. Owning the freehold and playing in division three won't be enough - far from it.

    Freehold/Leasehold

That's a very good question ... why haven't some of the bright people on here thought of that?

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

I think it was a suggestion made some times ago, that both parties should appoint their own choice of independant valuators and that a price could be agreed as the average of the two. But again - if CCC are not interested in selling to the club under sisu ownership, then that's their choice and...

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

But do they? They ask for a price based on independant valuation - if they pay that, it won't be peanuts.

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

A mortgage is always secured and based on the valuation of the property. If the club bought the freehold for a price close to an independant valuation there's no profit in what you suggest.

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

Many seem to agree with me these days - must be a virus or something. On a serious note - there must be something about owning the freehold that gives control over the leaseholders ... but all the usual suspects who could enlighten me are totally silent.

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

It might, but I still would like to know 'what', 'how' and 'how-much'. If I was on Twitter I would ask Les Reid if he could enlighten me - or if he would be so kind as to ask sisu. The club need to own ACL - that makes sense to me. The freehold? What am I missing???

Has ACL ever offered the rent deal to Otium or CCFC that it offered to administrator?

I don't remember reading sisu paid the previous owners anything - they paid off all external creditors at a discount, but the previous owners were not to receive anything unless the club returned to the PL within a timeframe (now passed). The negotiations around the take over ended just short...

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

They are right now putting together a statement explaining how the trust has forced both parties to talk about talks.

Has ACL ever offered the rent deal to Otium or CCFC that it offered to administrator?

Hmm - 'Ten years on that figure might be closer to £12m for a buy-back.' I am having a little bit of mixed signals going through my head. On one side I think Higgs stepped in to help out the club (think they paid £6.6m). On the other side you say they would expect to be rewarded as investors...

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

I have to say I totally agree. Why talk about the freehold and not the leasehold - it makes no sense to me. So, I must be missing some vital information. Would it be too much to ask Les Reid to follow up on this and have sisu explain slowly and in terms even I can understand what good owning...

Has ACL ever offered the rent deal to Otium or CCFC that it offered to administrator?

I also remember PWKH explaining the formular - not in details, but I think a few of us concluded the price would be around £8m.

Has ACL ever offered the rent deal to Otium or CCFC that it offered to administrator?

Yes I get that. Your priority is not bringing the club back home - your priority is to get rid of sisu.

Has ACL ever offered the rent deal to Otium or CCFC that it offered to administrator?

My priority no 1 is to re-unite club and stadium (ccfc and ACL) as this is the only way the club will ever become sustainable and able to fulfil the fans ambitions. I don't know what your priority is, but I hazard a guess that you are with ACL and therefor protects their interests. That is fine...

Has ACL ever offered the rent deal to Otium or CCFC that it offered to administrator?

First you argue that sisu won't pay anything for revenue streams. When challenged to show evidence you back down. Then you say they never refer to the fact that the club sold the rights to revenue streams. When presented with a quote from JS you back down again. Then you say they should have...
