City's MPs back campaign to #bringCityhome

ACL and the businesses in and around the Ricoh can't prosper long term - or even short term - without the football club and the 300.000 punters it brings every year. On the other hand the club can't prosper long term - or even short term - without a stadium and the revenue streams. It's simple...

Put the Pressure on the FL

Yes, I wonder too, but I am more concerned about a few posters blood pressure if FL decide the amount to be paid is £90k as Robinson/McGinnity already paid $500k (minus a discount).

    New statement

Holding companies owned by the council and Higgs charity. That doesn't change the fact that it is not ACL being sued. It's the council being accused of unlawful state aid.

    New statement

Yes, I agree. But there are many other stakeholders than ACL and sisu. The fans of course, but also all the businesses in and around the Ricoh. They all have a say in this and it could happen that ACL/CCC in the end will allow the return on a short time contract while the JR goes on.

    New statement

They are not suing ACL - they accuse the council of unlawful state aid.

    New statement

Oh, I seriously believe they want to return. But dropping the appeal? I doubt it. In any sense it's their only real bargaining chip they have left. Their goal is to have the club playing in it's own stadium benefitting from all revenue streams possible. That can happen in two ways - buy ACL...

    Pressley live on cwr 8.45am

Who exactly from ACL says this? What does the owners say - CCC/Higgs? Statements from the companies ... the club (TF) and ACL ... are pretty useless and nothing but spin. It's what the owners say or not say that is important!

    New statement

Even if they don't get leave to appeal they may still complain to the EU commission.

    The offer

Should it? ;-) Still no mentioning of the appeal.

    Pressley live on cwr 8.45am

TBH posting an offer in a public newspaper isn't very professional, so I would hope they don't. Considering the bad history between the parties I would expect them to talk through lawyers (negotiators) each presenting their proposed outline for an agreement. That way they can negotiate...

    The offer

That doesn't make sense as they have maintained the club need the full revenue for FFP. But maybe they propose to pay a percentage of the F/B costs?
  12. G

    The offer

Sounds realistic. What about match day costs? If I remember correctly it was revealed during the JR that while ACL used to charge £10K per match sisu claimed the actual costs were much less. So there's a potential issue to be sorted as well.

    New statement

This whole saga is one giant human error.

Who will first mention there is no mentioning of the JR appeal?

    Why no shirt sponsor

Maybe something happened? Circumstances changed? Maybe there's a possibility the shirt may be seen by a lot more spectators than anticipated when deal was drafted? It's another subtle clue that negotiations for a return could be going on.

Bad news: negotiations are not taking place

So this is the headline: Bad news, negotiations are not taking place! Then in the text there's no evidence this is true. No statements from either party. No 'off the record' statement from any insider. Nothing. So the headline is misleading to put it mildly. Who is really pulling the...
