Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

Easy now :-) Remove the extraordinary item from 2013 and you get a profit of £300t ... so they went from +£300t to -£400t, that's a difference of £700t. But of course we don't know the details, so the direct effect of the club not being there could be more or could be less.

SISU OUT group issue open letter to Tim Fisher

So secretive and faceless. Well we already have that. And they don't want to pay the value of the club, but starve the owners out. We have that kind as well. Please tell us something at least will be different under these potential new owners?

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

There was an extraordinary item in 2013 that improved the result by $475t. (The 'restructuring' of the finances/loan).

SISU OUT group issue open letter to Tim Fisher

How much money have sisu increased their bank account with over the past 7 years? If you don't have the exact number, then an approximate will do.

SISU OUT group issue open letter to Tim Fisher

Gary Hoffman again? How will 'people waiting' in the shadows show anyone - let alone sisu -that 'fans are united'? How many are that that? Thousands? Hundreds? A handful?

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

Yes, that's exactly what I want. I have been proven wrong in many of my assumptions by different posters like Duffer, PWKH and (in particular) OSB. For me that's the essence of a debate - to gain knowledge, to test opinions and assumptions and hopefully get to a mutual understand of the issues...

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

Makes no sense at all. It would have been political safer selling an empty stadium.

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

See my response to Tony - cash flow might(!) have been a deal breaker. But you said my post was inaccurate - I would have hoped you offered some facts, not opinions.

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

Does it not make you just a tiny bit curious as to how little money actually change hands in the deal? (We don't even know if Wasps have paid cash for the shares. I would usually assume they did, but I won't be surprised if they got some sort of a payment plan). Why isn't the loan paid out...

Excellent, then you must have inside info. Please correct me where I am 'inaccurate'.

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

Where did I mention long term security? Wasps will have to build a sustainable operation. Both Wasps and ACL are loss making ... what did Fischer say about turkeys and eagles? With the club there for 4 years they stand a much better chance of creating a sustainable business than without us.

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

I suspect it was CCC who went to the club with nice words about a new beginning and rebuilding relationships etc. and they did it only to secure the Wasps deal. It was paramount to Wasps business plan that the club was back paying some rent, bringing in punters and help increase the stadium...

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

So the Observer had the good sense of asking: And see how eloquently the question is avoided and yet actually in a backward way proves my suspicion: (Read more: Did Coventry council leader Lucas mislead taxpayers over Ricoh? | Coventry Observer )

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

It wouldn't have been a good deal without ccfc getting back paying rent and bringing in punters. With ccfc back ACL are close to cash flow neutral - then add the revenues and sponsor deals Wasps bring in themselves. So the question still not answered: Was ccfc brought back to secure the deal...

    Should pressley be sacked

Pressley seems to organize the setup at the club to the satisfaction of club management. He's on a long contract and it will not be cheap to pay him off. His weaknesses seem to be player management, team selection and tactics. So my suggestion would be to 'promote' him to football director and...

"Smaller" clubs now bigger than Coventry City.

Well, you can base it on fan base - or assets - or league position - or seats in the stadium - or spots in the car park ... I base it mostly on history. 34 years in succession in Premier league, 1 FA cup (same year we also won the FA youth cup - a double that only 5 clubs have managed) ...
