More false Coventry council claims exposed over Ricoh Wasps deal-Les Reid

I think he said 'some' had been converted. He also said the investors had written off the loans, but he forgot to say that it wasn't reflected in SBS&L's books. Wasn't it at the 'forum' in the summer 2012 - while they were still believing they were buying Higgs shares?

More false Coventry council claims exposed over Ricoh Wasps deal-Les Reid

I bet they get as much comfort as ACL/CCC/HIGGS got from the threads demanding full investigations into the transferring of players from CCFC ltd to CCFC H (back when we were in administration).

If they go to the EU court will it be an appeal or a new case?

More false Coventry council claims exposed over Ricoh Wasps deal-Les Reid

I think there were a few show-stoppers for Wasps when making the deal for ACL. 1. The loan should stay on unchanged terms 2. CCFC should be back as tenants (the business plan depended on this) 3. The deal would collapse if Higgs shares were sold to any other party than Wasps. As the contracts...

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

I don't think it's about political parties - more about individual politicians.

    Sisu refused permission to appeal...

Yes, it's devastating. And you didn't even mention the 2x10pts deduction, the division of the fan base, the decreasing faith in politicians .... We seem to agree this far.

The delay in receiving the payment wouldn't have any effect on profit/loss in the books. Only the cash flow would be effected. If you send an invoice within the 2013 financial year - the income is booked in that year, even if the payment is received in the next financial year.

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

I raised that in a previous post. Why didn't the council make sure the loan was repaid as part of the deal? It's an unnecessary risk, but it could be down to Wasps not having the funds (owner unwilling to provide the resources/banks unwilling to take the risk) due to Wasps own financial...

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

Why bring up the JR? The materials discussed there was from a point in time when the club played there. AL's statement was from when the club was gone. Two different 'de facto' scenarios. But as the accounts show, ACL did not make a profit without the club, so it seems both AL and the judge got...

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

I haven't researched them, so can't say. The loss is from 2013 - don't think they have published from 2014. I do know they were late paying wages once in 2012.

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

Yes they do, but that is already included in ACL's loss of £400t. It won't change anything, I think.

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

One thing you will have to take into consideration is the financial problems Wasps have. Last figures I have is a loss of £3.1m. So it's not just a question of ACL increasing their profit with £400t - Wasps have to increase their results by some £3m as well. Or - ACL and Wasps will have to...

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

To be honest Don, I don't really understand what you're asking. The new owners will bring in sponsor deals and of course revenue from rugby games. That's new income and could well be enough to bring ACL back in profit (all other things being equal). Then there's Wasps and financing their...

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

I did too. Interesting how she said to ask the new owners for details of the accounts. A few hours later I read Mr Eastwood say to ask previous owners for those details.
