If we could keep a lead...

If we could keep a lead we would still be in the Championship.

    Roll Call

I am in the ATB. I must be because I am told I am, despite my never calling for Thorn to be sacked and also praising him when he does get it right.

    Roll Call

None I would imagine. The game does last 90 mins though and not 45 and we threw away a 2-0 lead against a team we were all expecting to beat.

How was Thorn at fault today?

He might be identifying them, but seems to be doing fook all in terms of doing something about them. :D

What's the crack with the sprinklers...?

Cos Thorn likes us to spray the ball about?

How was Thorn at fault today?

Read my post and you will see that nowhere have I said if a player makes a mistake it's not his fault. Poster after poster though keeps pointing out to you the fact that you are praising the manager for the first half and blaming the players for the 2nd. Why is Thorn praised for the 1st half...

    Why the panic

Yes of course there are 43 games left, but last season we kept losing points from winning positions (something like 30 in the end i think). New season, 3 games in and we have lost points from winning positions in each of the 3 games. Why would you think that is going to change? No certainty...

    Why the panic

6 points lost from winning positions. Sound familiar? And it's only 3 games in. And what happened to hitting the ground running and our being one of the favourites? Yep, early days, but we only played well for 20 mins against Sheff Utd and 45 against Bury and not at all at Yeovil. Doesn't...

How was Thorn at fault today?

The bottom line is that the buck stops with the manager. And if it was the players at fault just who brought those players to the club? :thinking about: I said earlier that at half-time I was already thinking up my opening post for when I came home and it was in praise of Thorn and the team...

    Thorn sacked tonight

He's not going to be sacked after just 3 games. This carries on though and we fail to win in the next few games then I think the fans will force him out rightly or wrongly as they really will turn on him big time.

How was Thorn at fault today?

Fair point. Seemed to me to be the wrong move to take McDonald and Baker off.

How was Thorn at fault today?

They nullified us by putting us on the back foot and they started overrunning us through the middle of the park at pace. We should have countered that.

Can someone please tell me the last time we actually put in a decent performance

Will's your 46 year old son then I take it?

How was Thorn at fault today?

That's what he is saying, that Baker shouldn't have been taken off.

How was Thorn at fault today?

It was the tactics though just as much as the personnel. It was the system that suddenly stopped working because of the way Bury nullified us. It wasn't just about changing players it was about changing systems.

How was Thorn at fault today?

That's what really grates with me. Yep, AT may well have told the players exactly what was going to happen in the 2nd half and to be ready for it, but what he then failed to do was to make the tactical changes to counteract Bury's changes. Bury made 3 quite quick substitutions in the 2nd half...

Can someone please tell me the last time we actually put in a decent performance

Thought the Boro could have up 2-0 up after about 15 mins and we were all over the shop. after that we played well though. Shocking isn't it.

over a 90 minute period? Sick to death now of these 20 min and 45 min efforts of good play followed by 45 mins or more of complete dross. Seems to me that it has been going on for years. Just can't remember the last time we played well all game. :thinking about:

Reece brown and his sunday league touch...

He did one fantastic cross in the 2nd half and that was about the sum of his positive contribution. Just Hope Clarke is fit again soon.
