i was young in the 70s, but remember how grim it was. my dad seemed to spend half the decade out of work.
music was great, though. particularly punk, post punk, new wave... loved it then, still love it now.
like i've said previously, people asked for safe standing, and to be nearer the away fans. there are likely reasons why the safe standing was put where it is. all people need to do if they want it is to move. not the biggest ask in the history of mankind.

if we buy someone for £5m that doesn't mean doug is writing a cheque for £5m any time. payments are made over time. ditto if we sell someone. we can only guess at what money is owed to us, and what we owe to others. stop trying to work it out, you'll only get it wrong.
i bought a new mixing desk a couple of years ago. for months afterwards i was getting adverts flip up for mixing desks.

in japan you can't have a car unless you can demonstrate you have somewhere to keep it.
i've been to japan, and needless to say, they don't have cars parked all over the roads and kerbs etc.
add some decent public transport to that policy, and i'm sure things would improve massively.
