O'Nien is pants! Who would you play him instead of, Thomas or Kitching?

Apologies, it was Ccfciparks! The other points are still valid though.

Wagner? I'm suprised you would want him ahead of JDS given you're his biggest fanboy! Much has also been made of us already having 3 LB's, notwithstanding we would also not be in a position to match whatever Wagner will be getting paid by Birmingham. So far we have had a squad to see us through...

Which signings have his contemporaries made so far that we should have signed instead?

    25/26 January Transfer Window

I disagree on the Summer recruitment. Rushworth was an excellent signing and retaining MVE, Thomas and Rudoni who many wanted us to sell so we could reinvest in the squad was crucial to how the season has gone for us so far. The resulting team spirit and unity has been a big factor (maybe the...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Yes, I read some comments by Huddersfield fans saying he lacks pace, which I wasn't aware of previously. He sounds like he might be a 'Match of the Day' player like Strachan used to refer to about players whose highlight reel is better than the reality. He has obviously scored some top goals...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Getting the players we need in early on in the window will not be as easy as you think it is. It looks like we had lined up Manneh but that he is now going elsewhere for instance. Anyone worth signing is likely to be of interest to other teams, and most PL teams will be unlikely to decide on who...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

If Esse is to happen it probably won't be until Senegal are finished with AFCON and Sarr returns to them, so there's every chance that wouldn't be until after the Leicester game by the looks of it. Of other names mentioned I get the impression that Manneh is not happening. I don't want O'Nein...

    Haji shite

Although I tend to think OTT criticism of our players is counter productive, I do appreciate that out of form players are going to get it in the neck when they don't perform, as has happened here with Haji, but is it possible for admin to at least amend the derogatory title of this thread? It...

    Ref watch

This is definitely the case, although they don't apply the same criteria for fouls against defenders in the box. In fact the opposite almost applies whereby defenders know that if they simply fall to ground the ref is likely to give them a foul, which is something Birmingham players made the...

    Dabo

............ but you seem to be ignorant about the obvious impact injury had on his regression! That was undoubtedly exacerbated by his playing through injury for the benefit of the team, and he deserves respect for doing that, which you seem unwilling to give him. If he had opted out of games...

Match Thread Birmingham City - Coventry City Match Thread - Sunday 4th Jan

It's not being negative, it's having an understanding that football by nature is unpredictable and that surprise results happen week in week out. We are not immune from that and there are factors with this match which could work against us, although hopefully we win regardless.

    Dabo

I don't think anything is being rewritten but I'm pretty sure he played for us when injuries should have prevented him from doing so, which has probably helped lead to his forced retirement. We should also keep that in mind when judging the latter part of his time with us.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

I'm not sure George and Ferguson are realistic shouts, but yes if we were to sign them I would be very happy to have them join us. Neil is a solid Championship player and if we sign him then fair enough, but he seems a similar player to Eccles to me so doesn't really excite me like the other 2...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

I believe Winks is on seriously big money at Leicester which I just don't think we would or should match. Of the names mentioned Esse and Castledine are the one's that really stand out to me, and signings I would like to see us make if possible.

    Johnny Got His Gun

I tend to agree on this. They hadn't dominated the 2nd half like they had the 1st and hadn't looked as dangerous. Clarke didn't really connect with his shot and but for the heavy deflection I think Rushworth would have saved it comfortably. Its also a shame Kitching was more intent on holding...

    Doug’s new year message

Loved the season under Robins when we scored so many injury time goals that the 'must beat the traffic' brigade would have missed. Last minute winners tend to create a greater buzz amongst supporters than routine victories, and its great to celebrate such wins afterwards, but maybe there are...

    Atmosphere again

While I appreciate being stuck in traffic can be a pain, but unless you urgently need to get away why not stay and watch the whole game, and then hang around until the traffic has died down? If I were you I'd go to the casino (you don't have to gamble), grab a coffee, catch up with the other...
