    Not using Cash since lockdown

I think YouTube is great, but YouTubers are garbage to a man. Not seen one that doesn’t piss me off within seconds.

Why isn’t Johnson taking the press briefings now he’s back at work? Has he been seen in public at all other than PMQs and his previous recorded briefing? I haven’t been paying attention, just seem to hear very little from him. Is he still ill?

    Not using Cash since lockdown

Right? Why not just upload a really short YouTube video? And the app is impossible to navigate! Why?! I think growing up is not trying to stay on the train of the latest cool thing. As far as I’m concerned YouTube was the last big website/app and everything else is some nonsense fad for kids.

    Not using Cash since lockdown

Alright I do know what a TikTok is, mostly because I’ve got a 10 year old and the missus watches them. I suppose more accurate would be WHY is a TikTok? Most of them are garbage. Same as YouTubers in general. They’re all shit. I don’t get it.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

I was all for playing the season out and doing it properly but TBH when it comes down to brass tacks I’ll take any way back into the Championship. Like I’ll give a fuck what Sunderland fans think next season.

Because they’re low hanging fruit. Most people’s experience of teachers is as authority figures so they love slagging them off. Also as Grendel shows most people’s ideas of what teachers do is about 30 years out of date.

    Not using Cash since lockdown

Yeah I get that point TBF. And any cashless system would have to be equally free to use. The technologist in me says you should be able to make budgeting and understanding cash easier digitally too, but then I think about my Mum who still buys A-Zs because “Google Maps is confusing”. I’m just...

I’m sure being a football fan isn’t supposed to involve waiting for so many meetings to finish. Admin, the Ricoh, this, seems our fate is decided in meeting rooms as much as football pitches recently.

When I had need to know these things you could deposit up to £5k no questions asked, that was a few years ago and I dropped £4900 in a few times with no issues. I wonder if they’ve tightened up.

    Not using Cash since lockdown

Cash is so wasteful and outdated, I’d rather see a decentralised payments system, maybe government hosted, ideally open source, so we can go cashless without a reliance on VISA and the like. Let’s be honest, cash is only really used to avoid tax and other illegal stuff. I much prefer having a...

I didn’t say they were good judges. Just that they don’t take their opinions wholesale from the media. Even stuff I disagree with I can understand the appeal/reasoning/human nature at play.

A reasonable estimate for good teaching is double or triple the time spent in the classroom outside of it, varies by course (more for English, less for PE) and experience level of the teacher. Then you have TLRs/Management responsibilities on top. Coursework season can easily lead to you marking...

If teaching was half as easy as people make out I’d never have left. The fact it’s got a ridiculous turnover of staff should suggest to even the densest that it’s no easy job.

It’s fine though because we’ll claw back the money from sensible tax rises on the very wealthy rather than say pay freezes on nurses, right?

Yeah pretty much, though the market grows at a fairly consistent rate on average. So short term: yes, long term, with enough diversification: no. If I had spare cash I’d invest in a tracker over a normal saving account personally. Better returns over the timeframe.
