And of course Coventry City are never 'always letting us down' are they.

Oh, don't worry. The love will rekindle. Just at the moment it sometimes feels like we have no club. As soon as we're home I'll be back.

Do think it will have to be Henderson or Gerrard. Think we'll have to have some sort of holding player there. Don't think Wilshere has the discipline to do that, so your team looks pretty accurate.

Been a love of both for me, but though my love for my country will obviously never die, my love for the the Sky Blues is on the wane and that is simply because the club has been taken away from me. Don't do away matches so the detachment is completely total. At the moment it feels like I have...

    England v Costa Rica

Let's see your team here. Goalkeepers: Joe Hart (Manchester City), Fraser Forster (Celtic), Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion) Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Luke Shaw...

Just with England the defeats are so much harder to take. With the City you know another game is coming up the following week and the week after that and so on. 46 games. With the games that matter for England you get just 10 qualifying games spread over a year and a half and then just 3 in a...

All I can say then is that you are crazy in the coconut.Cle Clearly takes the players legs. Think you are on the wind up. ;) 100% penalty. Clear as day. I suggest you freeze frame it. The defender takes the player first and is nowhere near the ball. Stonewall.

Just watched it again 3 times, Brighton. Absolute nailed on penalty all day long. Took his legs.

    England v Uruguay

Seriously? Clear pen. Took his legs, not the ball. 100% stonewall.

    Italy v Costa Rica

He has been poor these 2 games for sure. Weak links for me in this tournament have been Johnson, Baines, Gerrard, Welbeck and Rooney (in that Italian game). Jagielka has also made too many errors. Only bright spots have been Sterling, Sturridge and Barclay. Lallana not had a chance, Ox been...

    England - Euro's 2016

Yep!! Indeed. That's why I'd much rather see us in a tougher group. When we are in these weaker groups it makes us look a lot better than we actually are. Get Germany or France in our qualifying group and top that and THEN we are talking.

Both Lampard and Gerrard have been so much better for their club sides than for England. Time for both to retire now. Bring on the new breed.

Good God the Swiss defence is being carved apart. Opening up like the Red Sea. Really like watching Sunday pub football. Brilliant from France, but the Swiss? Dear me.

    England v Uruguay

Football players do annoy me sometimes. Absolute, stonewall, clear cut pen for France and yet the Swiss players surrounding the ref pleading injustice. Clear pen. 100%.

    England v Uruguay

Yep. Supporting City, supporting England, buying a lottery ticket, voting Lib Dem. All completely pointless.

    England v Uruguay

Tell you what, if Switzerland play like this in our Euro qualifying group it'll be a doddle.

This football malarkey fills your head every waking hour doesn't it. My misuss said to me today 'since the World Cup has been on what have you done to help around the house?' I said I see myself in a kind of free role.

    England v Uruguay

Yes, but what about all the other teams who are already out. If they all go home their opposition for the final game won't be there to play them will they and these teams might well need a result to progress!!

    Italy v Costa Rica

He's not a bad manager, just not quite what we need right now. We need young fresh blood out on the field and fresh thinking from the touchline too. I don't like to be too harsh, but you only get 3 games in these tournaments and you have to get the tactics spot on if you wish to advance. Too...

Bit unfair though if the other team need a point to go through and they've got no-one to play against.
