He must have learned English at school. Surely that qualifies him!

    England approach Roy Hodgson

With Glenn Johnson not showing any degree of form for England for a number of games now, could it be argued that Hodgson should have taken Jon Flanagan to Brazil? He was called up to the larger squad initially wasn't he, along with Stones. Wonder why Hodgson went against that otpion in the end...

    Germany Ghana !!

True. I am of course enjoying the tournament, but it is very much tarnished by the fact that England are out. Will now support the US and the Russkies, but of course there's not going to be a lot of passion involved in backing those two teams.

    England v Uruguay

Clarence Seedorf: "I'm not sure England had enough belief to beat Uruguay. You could see it in the way they celebrated Wayne Rooney's goal. It was such a big goal for England: the equaliser in the match and Rooney's long-awaited first goal at the World Cup, yet the England players didn't...

    England approach Roy Hodgson

At least with the fullbacks we should have Kyle Walker back from injury and maybe Flanagan will get a look in. Was hoping Carl Jenkinson might have been in contention for an England place, but he only played 14 games for Arsenal all season long. A lot of young England players just aren't...

    England approach Roy Hodgson

Agree with a lot of that Stu. Worry is that after the world cup it will be straight back on the horse for the Euro qualifying. With expectation so low this time out it would have been an opportunity to experiment. We can't afford to experiment for the 2016 qualifiers.

    England approach Roy Hodgson

And good old Arry has his say!! England in 2022 - Redknapp QPR boss Harry Redknapp is sceptical about England's chances of winning the 2022 World Cup: "Are we going to win the World Cup in Doha? Good luck. Not a prayer. Get in the real world. "

Le Tissier: Hodgson could have been braver Former England and Southampton midfielder Matt Le Tissier on Roy Hodgson's future as England manager: "The FA will stick by him because he's the right kind of character to be England manager. "He'll be looking at himself asking 'should...

I just think a world cup win would be so huge, so immense. The whole country in unision. The feel good factor involved. The happiness it would bring to an entire nation. I dare say we'd get a national holiday out of it too. Don't think any of us actually envisage just how fantastical it would...

    Germany Ghana !!

Am thinking only from an England perpsective of course! :) But let's face it, if the City were doing shit in the league and losing, there's no we would be saying 'Wow, what a great league!' would we.

I'd still pick Barclay. He may be raw but what better time to pick him that in match that doesn't matter one little bit. I reckon he'll play and I hope he does.

Can England Win Euro 2016 ?

Cautious has summed up England for years in tournaments. Always seem reluctant to give it a go. Seems like we are scared to lose and concentrating on that rather than striving to win. Felt we showed too much respect to Italy and Pirlo the other night. Almost as if we just accepted his genius...
