    Transfer Rumour Romain Esse

Was going to write lots and lots about this but didn’t want to turn it into an Esse.

Must admit I’m not keen on Castledine. Certainly not as a permanent. I’m hoping the Neil rumours have some basis in fact. Midfield has to be the next priority. Two there and I think we’re good

Wilson doesn’t sound really viable. Two wingers good. Centre mid depth must be next. Bizarre really when all our issues are at the other end of the pitch but we do need wing cover

Which bit is classed as his failure? Us being top of the league? Us having a hugely improved coaching set up? Or us finally having our own ground?

    10 more wins does it

Look at this a different way. Starting with whoever is third someone has to win 3 games more than we do. The further you go down the league the more they have to win in excess of us. Then consider we are talking about the championship - an utter dogfight of a league. Should give us all hope.

Season review so far: A+ The Club has done absolutely brilliantly

Overall assessment has to be that we have done fantastically well. Lampard and his coaching staff have given us the extra 10% we needed to be top two contenders in an absolute quagmire of a league. Grimes has been a transformative signing. Biggest plus is the obvious squad togetherness. Biggest...

I don’t think you realise how complicated it is. None of us knows if we actually have any funds to spend either.

Especially as KKH is very possibly the better player. Very odd

Can we stop comparing assumed cash in for transfers against money we have to spend. It’s never worked like that and never will. A huge chunk of incoming fees have to keep us running and in business. The correlation between incoming fees and available cash to spend on players will never exist

    Rudoni

Thought he was ok today. Another one clearly playing while injured but some fans seem incapable of recognising that. He’ll be back to his best soon

Indeed. And also get the full backs back to where they are meant to be

Agreed. He’s been our best player for 3-4 weeks

    Bottled it

Of course it’s A chance. But we’ll be in the league next year at worst. I remember all too well the Luton game being the one chance. And yet here we are again.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Agreed. But something has to fundamentally change the losses. It’s entirely possible that £8m has gone on gas, electricity, wages, plumbing, painting etc etc etc

    Bottled it

Of course it’s not “now or never”. It’s a ridiculous statement.

We’re assuming King has the means to back Lampard. We do lose a serious amount of cash operationally and we also now have a massive stadium complex to maintain and staff.

Match Thread Birmingham City - Coventry City Match Thread - Sunday 4th Jan

Been saying this all season and taken endless stick for it. Neither Dasilva or Van Ewijk can defend. And worse still neither want to. We’ve got to change the way we play with them so far up the pitch. We’re always scrambling with them in the back 4. Both were abysmal again today

    Bottled it

Some rank nonsense on here. “Bottled it”. “Now or never”. Absolute bilge. We’re in a poor run as key players have played too much. KKH needs a run of games now
