No, I mean the fans have made it up as a thing.

To an extent. Wilson? Maddison? Gyokeres? Hamer? But that’s my point really. Retention takes as much cash as acquisition.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

It simply doesn’t equate that we need more players but are top and have just beaten two good teams. One midfielder as depth. Yes. Some of the other suggestions are lunacy. Those saying Lampard hasn’t been backed have very short memories where going back forever we would be sure of losing our...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Imagine if we could assemble a group of players to get us to the top of the league. Surely we need all sorts in this window? We’ve added 2. Lost no one (the stat no one wants to mention) and it’s probable we’ll add a CM. We don’t need anything else. As for Mehmeti - no thanks

I think on the Hamer issue we’re skirting the main point. He’ll want a sack of cash each month that we can’t give him.

Personally I think the don’t stop crosses narrative is just disguising the fact that our full backs can’t and won’t defend. But if we’re being honest our forwards are good enough to compensate so we’ll take it.

I don’t doubt that it may be an instruction. So in that scenario what is the role of a full back? Just to loiter ineffectually in no man’s land?? They aren’t closing down or in a position to clear?

Good delivery but look at the time he has. The lack of pressure on him. It’s woeful defending

He actually tried to play offside last night after the pass had been made!

Kitching doesn’t have a buzz cut. He spends 90% of the game adjusting his fringe.

Tactics and formations are one thing but basically allowing the opposing winger endless time to approach the box and pick a cross is asking for trouble. I’ve heard it described as a deliberate tactic which would be insane. Your centre backs are never going to look good with no support either in...

JDS just lets people cross. Never an attempt to close down. It’s madness.

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Tuesday 20th Jan

We can argue about the ability of our defence but in reality we play 3 at the back and one of those is Grimes. We simply don’t play with full backs. MVE and Dasilva are wide midfielders pushed right up to our wingers. You look at last night and most other home games and we could easily be 3 down...

I don’t think he is having a dip in form. He continues to dictate, break up and pick passes. Don’t see the issue

Don’t get the Grimes negativity. He was fine

Huge ridiculousness points for Rushworth and Dasilva fist bumping when we’d only cleared to the edge of our six yard box. In keeping with the park football feel.

It’s a nightmarish watch isn’t it. Our current formation appears to be 2-1-1-5-1. Full backs so high it’s surreal, no midfield, some good wingers and Lati. Chaos!
