I’ve said it for a long time - Torp is a luxury player. Technically he’s excellent but he doesn’t get around the pitch and certainly lacks defensively. Possibly 10 is his position where he can influence without having to cover acres.
Don’t think the Wright one was a pen and he should have just stayed on his feet and buried it. EMC one probably was for me. Footnote : Dasilva should have been sent off again - he’s got to watch his tackling.
Had an excellent impact, really put himself about. I’d have liked him to stay on his feet and just score rather than look for the pen but he caused them issues.
Rescued that one. Far too open both halves. Torp was anonymous. Slight tweak and more energy second half where we were much better. Impact off the bench was the difference which adding the loans has given us
The point is fans arent meant to be the drivers for success. That’s what they are accountable for in their varying jobs. The manager and chairman’s jobs are to get success along with the players. They are very well paid to do it.

We’re moving forward as a club at a rate of knots. Why on earth would we consider the likes of Bamford, Hamer or Wilson. Classic mainly nostalgia driven bilge.
I don’t think it’s over thinking. It’s trying to think as King will. It’s his cash. Agree you can sell or loan out but that’s not a given. I agree we’ll sign a first team ready CM - but I do think it will be a more pragmatic than marquee signing.
That’s what happens when you have two players who can’t hold the ball up and you keep playing it in to their feet. Of course you have to do it occasionally and they should be better but both thrive on balls in behind.
They are. And scoring a few. The Wright debate is the biggest piece of nonsense since the Rudoni debate, closely followed by the Kitching debate. All 3 absolute cornerstones of the position we find ourselves in.
Put yourself in Kings seat. If he spends money on a transfer it essentially has to be on someone they consider good enough for the prem. That equates to big money. If we don’t make it that then becomes a big issue. Short loans that can have an impact are exactly the right option. Personally I...
