Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

No point retreading all ground, but did any of us trust the FL? Honestly? I remember so many of us saying that they would bend the rules at a whim and many of us had absolutley no faith in their promises whatsoever.

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

Well, I get that. It's all we've got though. No new stadium, stuck at the Ricoh. We have to make the best of what we've got, however unpalatable that sounds.

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

Sorry, completely wrong. I don't know why you would say that. I have always been against Wasps coming here. I have never wanted Wasps here. If you are so convinced they want us out, Grendel, start a protest. If you can get people believing that is the case then boycotts and protests can start...

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

Sorry, but that is absolute tosh. I didn't believe a new stadium was going to be built then, just as I don't believe it is going to be built now.

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

This was one of the main reasons I totally refused to attend Sixifields. If they weren't coming back to the Ricoh and weren't building a new stadium, then how is that not permanent? Might not have been permanent at Sixifields, but it would have just been a ground share elsewhere.

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

Slightly unfair that, as I have spoken to a few life long Cov fans over the past few months and they have all told me that Cov would never ever been a Premiership league club anyway.

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

No point going all over old ground, Nick, but the club quite clearly said they had no intention of coming back to the City and next to none of us believed they would ever build a new stadium. Sounded pretty permanent to an awful lot of City fans I can tell you. Not going to keep banging on...

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

Why I am naive? Cov fans on the whole I would assume are loyal to Cov and wouldn't go and watch Wasps anyway. Wasps bosses must know this anyway. There are some Cov fans though that do go to both. Best solution all round is for Wasps not to impinge upon Cov Rugby. The more Wasps annoy City...

You think you still would? Are you serious? :(

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

But Cov fans wouldn't do that would they. Wasps would need to make it that people can go and watch both games, if they so wish. Some Cov fans also go and watch Wasps. If there were 2 completely differing game times, then they would be able to do that.

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

Let's not jump the gun just yet. They could both have fixtures on the same day without a clash, say Cov at 2 p.m. and Wasps at 4.30 or 5.00. Not good though is it. Documents should have been drawn up in blood when an agreement was made, guaranteeing City stay at the Ricoh, if they so wished...

    The Bradford Fire

I think there is some other footage somewhere. I thought it was this, but there is an old guy walking round the pitch with his head on fire. Could be the same poor man as in this clip, but the clip I saw showed him walking round the touchline for several seconds with his head on fire. I think...

    why the mobile phone lights

Not a good idea to have matches around a mobile phone.

Safety ? Long way to go yet.

Yep, totally agree. I think 4 points ahead is already enough to see us safe. You have to remember there are EIGHT teams below us and we are at least 4 points clear of 5 of those teams.

    why the mobile phone lights

I don't think they realise it, but I think Barry Manilow started it a long time ago with his song One Voice. 'One voice, singing in the darkness.' When he played it live the audience lit candles I think, or held torches. Bet the numpties don't know that. ;)

Why? Are they buggering off back to Wycombe?

Excuses For Not Going The Crewe Game Thread

I can't go and watch Wasps. The Coventry City emblems on the stands and sky blue seats put me off. Just doesn't feel like home.
