    Wasps

if rugby circles knew in advance, at least of the interest, then so did SISU. So, they were not caught on the hop ( in my opinion ) and it would be interesting to know what they are planning. It didn't seem to bother them that much. The usual attempt at pr, dig at CCC etc.. Up until now, no...

    If wasps

at some time it's game over for the investors. How do you explain that having fucked up with the council, you hav nowe fucked up with new landlords and are starting again? Having, of course, promised a stadium which you can't deliver.

    If wasps

Yes, quite right, but this is their world. Standard business practice. SISU are not messing with a lumbering council tied up by laws and regulations and under public scrutiny. Wasps have more chance of doing a deal with SISU than the council as they can use the same weapons as SISU. I would take...

Been there, done that. Would bring them nothing and they would lose even more.

Again 365 days revenue blah blah

Well, I hope they have delivered one to their investors. Up until now, despite all their meetings and bravado on the subject, they have not shared the slightest detail with anyone else - including the fans, who will be the paying customers at the bowl. I suspect, that they don't have one, they...

Again 365 days revenue blah blah

Everyone knows that the Club needs more revenue. Only problem is that we are homeless. Even if SISU build a small stadium somewhere, i cannot See it competing with the Ricoh and cannot imagine how it will generate enough revenue to repay the Investment. What have SISU planned as a Source of...

    If wasps

They would be bidding for the only option to utilise their stadium bowl economicaly. Best chance of making the bowl Part of their investment work. SISU have literally nowhere to go. They will never be allowed to build a stadium in Coventry. Nearby won't work, they won't be able to compete with...

Coventry City FC giant crests may be moved at Ricoh as Wasps make mark on stadium

According to Grendel, when councils get involved in businesses, they always fail. I tend to agree with Grendel on this and think CCC did the right thing by getting out of ACL. In other words, they had to sell.

Coventry City FC giant crests may be moved at Ricoh as Wasps make mark on stadium

Exactly. Wasps worked on a deal. Got what they wanted. Then announced they were moving. No problem. The fuss should be about why we say we are moving when we have nowhere to move to. We cannot be surprised if Wasps are getting on with their stadium. Our anger should be directed at the amateurs...

    "Fan representation" on CCFC Board

Just googled HSV Fanbeauftragte. There are several who Look after various aspects- e.g. One looks after the Clubs in different nearby towns, another deals with the Ultras and co. Very organised and the contact details with photo on the official Club site. Fans can see who deals with their...

    "Fan representation" on CCFC Board

HSV ( Hamburg )has a Fan "beauftragter". Everyone(HSV Fans ) knows who he is. I have held the HSV Supporters Club Schleswig-Holstein branch AGM in my pub. He comes and meets with representatives from the Schleswig-Holstein Fan groups. I don't know the fine details, but he seems to be respected...

City Won Cov Won Wasps smashed

If SISU ever build a stadium, they will be looking for Revenue and if that means sharing with a franchise Rugby team, i cannot see them having any qualms about it. Standard business practice. Would you give them Stick in this case? Or talk about it being necessary as they will invest in the team?

    Wasps

as I understood it, the loan was from central government to CCC and then on to ACL - at a small profit. If it is now with Wasps and being paid back quicker than from ACL, then CCC has not used it's own capital and is making a small profit.Or have I misunderstood it?

Same here. Went back a bit further - e.g. we had a super snipe to Test at the Weekend. My father even tested the new brake system on a commer van in the Malvern Hills with us as a Family in the back. Ended up in a butchers shop window. Definate fail.

    Wasps

In her business where she deals in distressed companies ( she was referred to as the Queen of Debt once upon a time ) she is in the driving seat and can maybe call the tune. With a lumbering , but powerful council, she should have done things differently. I still assume she is astute - she...

    Wasps

I agree about the clash of cultures being a Major problem. Having said that, SISU should have had enough Sense to play along with the Council. The relationship with the council was the important thing - if you want to get on in the City which is in the team's name -, but SISU left that as a low...

    Wasps

Maybe it's not the in the councils remit to be involved in a stadium Management company and after the constant litigation it was probably in everyone's ( except poor old CCFC's ) interest to sell at a lower price in order to move on quickly
