Time to wake up and smell the coffee

And we weren't that bad against Rochdale, no, but it was still depressing and we lacked energy and invention and a cutting edge and seeing Armstrong all by himself on three occasions, in the penalty box all by himself with no support, at home, I just found head shakingly bizarre and clueless...

For me he needs to throw a few more curve balls and get us supporting Armstrong more. He changes things, we have a chance. Stay on the same path, I think the slump will go on and on.

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

It is indeed. I am now if the opinion though that, that is not going to happen. We have lost 7 out of the last 10 and 4 in a row and only won 3 times in 17 games. I honestly cannot see any 3 wins on the bounce. I am very optimistic and always a half glass full person, but we're not playing...

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

It WAS the most enjoyable season. The last month has been thoroughly depressing (Bury excepted). Hated the Scunthorpe game and hated the Fleetwood game and the Rochdale game too. 3 home defeats in the last 4 games. That has been very disheartening and we have been very, very poor. I really...

    Wheres It Gone Wrong?

Yep. Since November, so more than a couple. Opposition teams studied us, set out to stifle us and have succeeded. We have had no answer. For me it is that simple.

Two things that have bothered me, Houch, that of not changing tact and also the concern of two similar slumps with Middlesborough. I've not complained about his signings, be it Cole or Hunt on Henderson. Been okay about all of them. I do wish he would drop Ricketts, but then understand why he...

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Sorry, but that is complete bollocks, Hobo. I will say now quite clearly and categorically, I don't want him sacked. I just want him to halt the slide. If we keep on losing and losing, THEN I will want him sacked. I have been steadfastly clear all down the line. I have really rated the bloke...

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Disagree with that RT. A team in 6th place can be 6 points clear of 7th going into the last game. For the team in 7th it doesn't matter so much if they win they last match, because they can't catch the team in 6th. Sometimes when you are out of the picture the last game or so can be a case...

    Mowbray Out Mongs

To be fair, a lot of fans are saying keep him for next season whatever. Give him another season wherever we finish. That's different to people saying sack him if we keep on losing. :)

Thing is with Barnsley, I remember at the time when they kept losing, people were saying they were playing well but just not getting the results. Our bad run has been on the back of bad performances. Bit of a difference.

Yeah, right, okay. Not biting. ;)

No wins in 6 for them. Would think that gives us a fair chance of getting something, but we are going to have to battle, cos I'm sure they will try and outmuscle us and fight for every scrap.

Some seemingly are! May just be the same people though, win one game play-offs here we come, lose one, sack the manager! ;)

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Well yep, but as Stupot said, we beat Crewe 5-0. That didn't get momentum going. After that game we didn't win for 5 matches. We beat Bury 6-0. That didn't get momentum going either. Since that game we have lost 4 in a row. Our two best results of the season. Let's see how we get on against...

    So who are the candidates?

Very true. Sacking managers has saved us before too. We have been sinking and teetering around the relegation zone and replaced people and survived. Also can be argued that had we sacked Thorn in time we would have survived that year too.

Easy solution. Tell all the players there is no Christmas next year.

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Err, numpty, cc4l! That's exactly what we are saying. To get 2 or 3 wins on the bounce we have to get that first win, but then that first win means nothing unless it is followed up by another 1 or 2 wins. Some are saying about turning the corner on the back of 1 win. We beat Blackpool and it...

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Feel exactly the same way, Stu. We win on Saturday and that will mean nothing unless we follow it up with another win or two afterwards.

    Mowbray, RCC and Defending

He won't. Won't stop him pulling on a Sheff Weds one though.

    Mowbray

Billy Davies has had big fights with boards over funding squads and buying players and has even walked out. If he came here he wouldn't last 5 mins and besides, he wouldn't come here.
