    sisu: it's Game On!

    I didn't sign it.

    AFC Wimbledon - Plough Lane

Very true. It's interesting in both cases that the local council was involved in disputes with the club.

    AFC Wimbledon - Plough Lane

I'm not sure you can make a direct comparison between the two scenarios. We are not a franchise club, nor is a move to Northampton permanent.

Charity Match Ricoh Arena This Afternoon

Good luck for a great cause.

One for Rob S and the Trust?

First part of the KCIC statement in the OP: which was exactly what Haskell suggested. I don't like the idea of fan ownership, because all it does it create a new hierarchy system within the supporters. And who goes to the top...either those with the most money, or biggest mouth. Not those...

One for Rob S and the Trust?

Ask how it worked out for Rushden and Diamonds? Or maybe how Ebbsfleet had to be re-bought by someone to save it from it's failed fan ownership scheme?

One for Rob S and the Trust?

Yes and...? Haskell obviously raised the idea and they all dived in on it. Personally, don't ever think fan ownership will ever work - at any club. Fans can't agree on the most trivial of things.. how could we collectively help run a football club.

One for Rob S and the Trust?

When Haskell first came along the Trust couldn't wait to be all over him like a rash. The promise of having this fans stake in the club firmly entrenched the trust and KCIC in the 'anyone but SISU' camp. No thought about how a new owner would take things forward... Just interested in having that...

    Football League deadline update

Also - I never said that I talk to SISU... If I did I would be asking very similar questions to what you have said.

    Football League deadline update

Yes I agree that there was a lot of confusion about what was where during the process, but ultimately nothing illegal happened did it? Where players contracts were should be of no concern to ACL, they should have been interested in recouping the money that was owed to them. The FL went round...

    Football League deadline update

Here is another statement from ACL on rejecting CVA “ACL, jointly owned by the Alan Edward Higgs Charity and Coventry City Council, voted not to approve the Administrator’s proposals. “This decision was based on ACL’s twin aims: first, to keep Coventry City Football Club playing in Coventry...

    Football League deadline update

As a fan did you nominate ACL to be the moral bastions? Because I certainly fucking didn't. Here's an idea - leave the football governance to the appropriate authorities, let ACL worry about finding someone to use their fucking stadium. The second points deduction lies clearly at the feet...

    Club Statement

Probably one similar to the one that was due to happen back in 2012 as a starting point. But whatever the deal the rejection ramped up the hatred to a new level.

    Club Statement

Because I believe they may have been able to negotiate a deal if it hadn't happened as it did. That's merely my opinion. ACL turned down the maximum amount they could get remember.

    Club Statement

Maybe because they lost their anchor tenant. IMHO if the CVA had been accepted, ACL would have their money and we would be back at the Ricoh by now.

    Leon Clarke

If he was prepared to apologise to the fans and admit he was wrong I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Not saying he would actually do that of course.

    Football League deadline update

The 'legal' reason is merely a request - not like you implied in your statement. As for the FL rules, they themselves circumvented their own guidance as it was an exceptional circumstance. The only thing the 'request' implies is that they didn't want the JR, which is fair enough...

    Football League deadline update

Legal reasons?? As I have said before... If they believed that something illegal happened in the admin process they should have reported Appleton to the appropriate authorities. FL Rules? Firstly what jurisdiction do ACL have in the football world? Secondly by going into admin the club was...

    Football League deadline update

If ACL rejected an offer from the administrator that gave them the maximum amount payable to them, then how would a revised offer be any better? If they has already been offered the best financial deal in first place, then what reasons did they have to reject it? After all their primary...

    Football League deadline update

ACL rejected the CVA - causing a 10pt deduction this season. I believe that is what they are referring to.
