odd ways your car has been damaged

When I lived in Belgium just south of Brussels I was heading home following my brother who was over visiting and as we went under the outer ring road something like an alternator fell off the carriageway above, missed his car and bounced into my windscreen. I ducked and my friend in the back...

    Death List 2018

Well worth a visit, be even more poignant with the sad loss of William. The mechanic I use to fix my car raced in the sidecars at IOM and was presented with his rosette by Joey. He later went to the toilet in the pub and Joey was in there holding himself up on the wall whilst he had a pee as he...

What are you currently listening to?

After going to see Roger Waters last week I'm in a bit of a Pink Floyd phase. Animals yesterday & Wish You Were Here today. I had never really listened that much to Animals but love it now & there is always time for Wish You Were Here

So...... any clashes for Saturday and the World Cup QF?

On the positive side it's gonna be a hot one, on the negative side the midges will be out! It's a great track though and because it's not too big we move around to watch the races from different places

    SBT Veggie Society

We're not veggie but have been cutting down on red meat & tried Quorn but the texture is weird. We then tried soya mince and it has a much better texture. I made some cauliflower rice and was pleasantly surprised and with chilli would actually prefer it to normal rice.

So...... any clashes for Saturday and the World Cup QF?

My brother and friend are coming up on friday to watch British Superbikes at Knockhill and we normally go saturday & sunday. They are coming up in the car as my friend is having treatment for cancer and I have told them I will only go on the saturday if I can be back home for kick-off

    The World Cup Thread

Not to mention the after match comments from their manager about England players being good at falling over in the penalty area, he seemed to imply that what his team were doing was acceptable. Would a South American referee had given the penalty? I am not sure how any England players could...

    The Gigs Thread

It was £85 per ticket + booking fee and we were in the cheap seats. It wouldn't have been so bad if it was a rock band but the 2 in front of us came in late, absolutely shit-faced yet with more beer and spent most of the time talking over the music to each other. They did provide 1 highlight...

    The Gigs Thread

Went to see Roget Waters at Glasgow Hydro last night, he was fantastic, even my wife enjoyed it as someone who hasn't listened to a lot of Floyd or any of Waters solo stuff and she only went as someone let me down at the last minute. I was shocked at how much people were drinking and we were...

    The World Cup Thread

On the plus side it will have cheered the Jocks up. Going to work on monday after the Panama game all I was getting was "England fans are saying they're gonna win the World Cup now" (I know no-one who has said that) and "all you ever go on about is 1966" when as soon as any tournament starts...

    The World Cup Thread

I don't know what was worse, Dier's performance or Clive Tydlesley commentary, he truly is an awful commentator with his comment in the first half about best memories always come from world cups the most inane one

    Becoming a Sky Blue

We moved to Rugby from Stoke Aldermoor in 1967 but my mum & dad had no real interest in football but as they were both from Coventry and my grandparents still lived in Green Lane & Styechale that was enough for me to start following around 1970. My older brother ended up supporting Leicester...

    Best concert you've been to?

I saw Thin Lizzy on the Renegade tour at de Montfort Hall and only went cause someone couldn't go on the day, they were fantastic. Also saw Gary Moore at the NEC and I have never seen a group enjoy themselves so much. Evanescence in Glasgow in may backed by a full orchestra, I was amazed at how...

    Selling concert tickets

I've just said it's a paper ticket and will arrange to meet a buyer at the venue. Just got to wait for my wife to come home so I can use her paypal account. I'm with you, I don't like to see tickets sold above face value, on some sites I have seen £90-100 tickets at nearly £300 each. I'm going...

    Selling concert tickets

My only issue so far, which may be for all of them, is I have to have a paypal account. I had some issues with paypal and closed down my account. The other thing is they want me to download the e-ticket I have but the pdf I have has both tickets on it and I cannot edit it. It would be good to be...

    Selling concert tickets

Hi there, has anyone used sites like viagogo to sell concert tickets & are they ok? I've just had someone tell me they can't make it to a Roger Waters gig on friday in Glasgow leaving me with an unpaid spare ticket.
