    Travel insurance with cancer

I am sure the E11 card covers basic needs and there are costs on top for extra specialist treatment. I think I will also need extra insurance cover as in the event that he falls ill I may need cover to come home too

    Travel insurance with cancer

I did an online quote with insureandgo and when I answered the screening questions it said cover was not available so I rang and they have offered cover subject to my friend being fully screened for £247. I know it's not going to be £15 like mine but I wasn't expecting it to be as high as that...

    Travel insurance with cancer

Hi there I am planning a trip to the Valencia motogp in November for my friend who has terminal bowel cancer. His chemo will be finished when we go and the result from scans are showing the tumours have shrunk. Has anyone any ideas the kind of cost of travel insurance, insurance company...

What's the shorest length of time you have ever spent in a town or city?

My son's just joined the cadets so I had to take him to get some boots from a shop in Glasgow. The shop is next to Queen Street station so we got the train, went to the shop & bought the boots and whilst in there we could hear music from outside so I asked the guy in the shop & he said it was...

    Pet insurance

We were with pet-insurance.co.uk and they initially were well priced and paid out no trouble after the sudden death of 1 of our springer's in 2010 and when the other one snapped her cruciate in 2011 which cost over £3,000!! Her premium doubled the next year but was still only £22 every 28 days...

Turning up early and getting it wrong!

Just remembered that 3 of us went down to watch Newcastle play Wimbledon in the League Cup at Plough Lane in the late 1980's. We struggled through London and finally got to the ground with about 30 minutes gone and they had shut the away turnstiles. There must have been about 100 Newcastle fans...

Turning up early and getting it wrong!

We were on the A1 just before Scotch Corner when we heard it had been called off so we just turned around and headed home. There was a story that there were some of our fans at the stadium when it was called off and the Newcastle chairman, John Hall?, took them into hospitality and bought them...

Turning up early and getting it wrong!

Are we allowed to be late? 3 of us got to Hillsborough at 13:30 to find out it was a midday kick-off so we got back in the car and went home

    John Sillett

Butcher's first home game was a 1-0 loss to Liverpool. We might have sneaked a lucky 0-0 draw if he hadn't kicked the ball out of Oggy's hands straight to Beardsley who smashed it home. The Forest game was the week after

    The holiday thread I’ve

They are tiny undercover nationalists, every one I manage to kill I say to it "take that Sturgeon!!" My Scottish wife doesn't get bitten as much as our son and me

    The holiday thread I’ve

Doesn't work for me. I don't tend to put anything on to stop them and if I get bitten I spray the bite(s) with whatever I've got as it tends to stop the itching. I do spend a lot of time in doors if they are bad but luckily where we live isn't the worst place for them

    The holiday thread I’ve

They've been around for about a month now and they're only going to get worse. I was told last week that eating a spoonful or marmite a day works but the problem with that is having to eat marmite.

    It's Never Too Late ?

Just a few more acts need to come forward and we might be able to stage the inaugaral Sky Blues Talk Variety show. There has to be someone out there who missed out on their true vocation of event promoting?!

    Matchday programmes going?

1 of the 2 away games I went to this season the club had printed 1 programme to cover 2 home games, pretty sure it was Carlisle as I don't remember seeing a programme at Accrington. Maybe this could be done instead to reduce printing costs etc
