Looks like it'll be a sell-out for the Exeter game...

I agree Nick. I am being realistic in that we won't fill a 32k stadium for this game. There is work to be done with the fans (potential also - which is what the first game back clearly demostrated), and a price drop is a start. A clear marketing strategy for the rest of the season, including a...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Indeed it shouldn't - still looking forward to the game tomorrow though

Looks like it'll be a sell-out for the Exeter game...

No - it is still the early rounds of a minor trophy being played in midweek against a small club. The £5 ticket ought bring a few more in for sure, but not 32k (although I wish it were so).

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Not sure anyone agrees with it Torch. It is wrong to move clubs away from there community in order to make a few quid, and wrong to encourage it (in ACL/CCC's case). And, if Sisu are serious about the Club, then they need to get involved in this discussion - who knows, they may have already...

Looks like it'll be a sell-out for the Exeter game...

It is indeed. Ought to win, wth the chance of a goal or two. Attendance won't be great though - is it anywhere for any club in early JPT rounds?

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

I can see what you are saying Michael of course, but the move to Sixfields is different. It was not about money, it was about football fans and could be seen by all (other clubs fans included) to be fundementally wrong - therefore a clear message (or aim if you will) for any protest. This...

I might make the effort to lever myself out of my armchair for this

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Not sure it would be a doddle Michael. If the price is right and ACL/CCC sell, then what can CCFC fans do about it? Will fans of other Rugby clubs care if Wasps move? I doubt it, as it is not unprecedented. Rugby competes with football for cash from TV, fans etc.. There is the Rugby WOrld Cup...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Sisu don't seem to want to offer anything for the Ricoh or ACL though. If money is on the table in the form of a formal offer, then one would have thought that it would be considered. If Wasps, or anyone else for that matter, make such an offer then it is up to Sisu to either work with them...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

I think this is what happens in Wales with the "regional" clubs being at the top end of the game, and the "old" clubs still in existence further down the pyramid. A lot of the old clubs are really struggling to maintain any kind of existence, never mind being competitive and bringing players...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

We had a few weeks of from the politics Michael. Quite enjoyed it while it lasted - but yes, the PR machines are cranking up again. Will put people off parting with their hard earned while all this is going on. We just need to do what we can as fans and support the team on the pitch as best we...

Might be if the Club matches Wasp's offer (assuming there is something in this of course)

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

I know you are being a sarcy so in so, but I think my post inferred this Nick - the fans don't matter, and it does "outrage" me. If Wasps fans wish to protest, then we ought to offer support, as it does affect us as well. But you never seemed to think that any form of protest was ever...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

A lot of the London rugby teams have played outside the capital to maximise income, with no thought at all for the fans. Wasps is one of these, along with Saracens and London Irish (have/do use Wycombe, Reading, Watford). The London teams also play double headers at Twickers a couple of times a...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

It the price is right, then they will sell - it is completely wrong to do so of course as it won't benefit the local community one iota, and certianly wo't benefit CCFC. Makes you wan to give up on "organised" sport altogether to be honest - I shall continue with my "journey of the long distance...
