    Has this ever been explained

It's just completely implausible, isn't it. A business that has accumulated £60m of debt, never turned a profit, that will lose even more money over the next five years and alienate a large proportion of it's customers, and will need to take on further debt to develop a new (smaller) stadium...

Your Choice, Take 15 Point Deduction or ACL Sign CVA?

You could just as easily argue that the directors would have failed in their duty if they did vote for the CVA, and closed down all further avenues of a better potential outcome (new owner and/or new deal on current lease, and/or investigation of CCFC Ltd leading to the same things plus possible...

    Joy Victoria Sepella

Absolutely, which makes TF's suggestion that we build a statue for her even more fatuous. The only thing that interests me about JS is that it's seemingly been admitted by all parties that she makes the final decisions. This basically makes her a shadow director. Which exposes her personally...

    Let me ask..

Personally, I think SISU forced the Administration by not paying the rent and not negotiating in good faith. At the point ACL went for the admin order we were very unlikely to hit the play offs given the points total we required, our form, and the number of clubs above us. ACL haven't lumbered...

Your Choice, Take 15 Point Deduction or ACL Sign CVA?

Reject the CVA. We need a proper investigation into what's gone on at the club, and also to Appleton's performance as Administrator, imho. The longer this drags out, the more pressure can be brought to bear on SISU and the FL. Don't quit now.

    Money Laundering in our games

When I worked in banking, here were the red flags that were drummed into us to identify potential fronts for money laundering: Multi-layered companies, with complex accounting structures, especially where some parts of the organisation were registered in locations beyond regulation (e.g. The...

    Injured FC

Ha. Me too. Used to sit just to the left of the goal, right at the back. Couldn't see the ball half of the time. Loved it. Great memories. :)

    Injured FC

Nicely done! I was worried that I'd been dreaming stuff again. :)

    Injured FC

Mick Harford, that striker, btw. One appearance, one goal.

    Injured FC

Aha - I've dug it out, thank you wikipedia, but I'm going to leave it as an open question. Played once for us as a sub, scored, was injured and never played again. On the books for 13 months though, according to Wiki. Supposed to be one of the toughest men in footy, at the time. Anyone guess?

    Injured FC

Striker, from the North East, I think. Rock hard. Played one game, or half of one game. Scored and went off with a back injury. Best goals to games ratio ever! Can't rememember his name. In the 1990's, iirc. Anyone help?

    Acl/cva

Or you could make the case that by voting down the CVA there's a proper investigation into SISU's affairs, and the prospect of a new owner who intends to do business with ACL, rather than trying to shaft them. Since the shareholders are the council and the Higgs Trust, they may prefer that...

    Parliament Today

You're right in saying that laws can only be changed in the future, but wrong in saying this will have no effect in the present. What this is doing, right now, is putting serious pressure on the FL (and possibly the FA). The last thing they'll want is to give the Government an excuse to pry...

    Acl back on cwr again

It isn't complicated, you're right. ACL have offered to talk, right now. SISU have refused. It really is that simple. How anyone can support SISU's stance on this is utterly beyond me, but there you go.

    Acl back on cwr again

In essence that's complicating something that's actually very simple. ACL are saying let's talk, SISU are refusing. It's impossible to spin this as anything else.

    Acl back on cwr again

It's not two sides of the same coin though, is it. ACL want talks without strings, right now. SISU are refusing those talks.

    Acl back on cwr again

There's a multi-million pound lease and the future of the club and possibly the club's owners riding on this. I wouldn't be so quick to make assumptions, personally.

    Acl back on cwr again

I can't spend all day on this, but I don't think it's anything like that simple. And it sounds like you're trying to blame ACL here for SISU's failure to negotiate. ACL: Let's talk, no strings attached. SISU: No. What's not clear about that? If the CVA isn't signed, then a whole can of worms...

ACL on CWR after 9am this morning

The problem is that there's little clarity on who the ultimate owners of the funds are are, but it's clear that JS has been working as a shadow director and that SISU have been the controlling company in all of this. I can't see JS stepping down from SISU. All things are possible, but I find...

ACL on CWR after 9am this morning

Actually, I think it's a lot simpler than that. If wrongdoing is found, then SISU's claim to be fit & proper owners is shot down in flames. Presumably CCFC Ltd is shown to be the club, and the other parties interested in purchasing the club get their chance at a straightforward deal. We're...
