    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

Maybe because he gives everyone a way forward, and he's grown up enough to put the past behind him?

    Paul 'smug' Appleton is back

In fairness I think he's very able and I think he's done a great job. For SISU. I suspect he's clever enough to stay just the right side of his legal obligations, whilst clearly favouring his paymasters. I'd be delighted if he's screwed up though.

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

SISU have never been a willing buyer for the arena. They could have had 50% of ACL for around £6.5m, had they kept their deal with the Higgs Trust. Their whole plan has been to distress ACL and pick the arena up for nothing, or as near to it as they could get. The latest stuff, where they...

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

Erm... I thought the line broke up, they called him back, and then ended the interview reasonably normally given there were technical difficulties. You're making it sound like he hung up, which I don't think he did...

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

Hoffman on CWR now: Would pay rent for next 3 years at Ricoh. No cost to Otium. Assumes that 5000 more fans at Ricoh per game, equivalent to +£1.5m per season. Half of that goes back to SISU. Costs back to Hoffman and investors, who don't want to make money. Any profit back to Academy...

Bond Not Payable Until End Of Third Year !!!!

Surely this isn't possible. Could the FL be any more incompetent?

    Fraud ?

Yep, I remember that. I held off then in the hope that the matter would be resolved and a full scale investigation might get in the way. I'm not of that opinion now. I'd be very happy if the SFO started to look into things.

    Fraud ?

It's nothing to do with Bob, though I can see you've got issues with him. And it's nothing to do with SISU being a hedge fund either, they can have as many companies as they want, but each one has to be run according to the law. What you can't do, legally, is asset strip, the definition of...

    Fraud ?

The way that CCFC Ltd suddenly seems to have no (or few) tanglible assets whilst having massive debts is very interesting to me. I wouldn't for a moment suggest that anything untoward has occurred, but just out of interest here's a definition of fraudulent practice from the Serious Fraud...

Why the arse with NTFC fans?!

It's a fair question, but in that situation I hope I'd either say I'm right behind your right to protest, and support them in that right, or just keep quiet. I wouldn't go on their message boards and say "I'm right with you but wouldn't it be better to protest somewhere else". They're not...

Why the arse with NTFC fans?!

That might be the case, but to my mind we've had a couple of NTFC fans here preaching solidarity and saying that they're right behind us. However, their solidarity doesn't extend to them doing much of anything and they seem actively opposed to us actually protesting at our games. I find that...

    The Hill Solution

Maybe they will and maybe they won't, but I'd be surprised if those who made the effort to get there would give up that easily. To be honest the most effective protest will simply be the thousands who don't turn up anywhere. That will hurt SISU more than any group of fans stood in any one place.

    The Hill Solution

Politely, I don't quite see it that way. Going to Sixfields to protest shows that you're willing to travel to protest and that you're not prepared to put another penny into SISU's hands. imho, that's a more powerful action than turning up at the Ricoh, though I'd agree there's value in that too.

    The Hill Solution

If you're largely on our side, then what exactly are you doing about it? It's the second time I've asked you that, only to hear very little in reply. If you don't like the thought of us being there, then go complain at your chairman rather than getting all upset about us standing on a hill...

    The Hill Solution

There's no mercy here CJ - you should know that by now! Though as someone who has broken wrists and fingers from being obliged to go in goal, I've nothing but respect for someone who volunteers for the position. I've always presumed this is why goalies only talk to other goalies before and...

    The Hill Solution

If you want to show solidarity, come and sit with us. You'd be most welcome. Or is your solidarity more like sympathy than any real desire to take action to help? Why are you getting all stressed at the thought of us standing on a hill? I think it would be a very effective protest...

    Militant Action?

I don't think our reputation could be any more stained, frankly. And it would take an awful lot of stewards to stop a few hundred fans (or more) determined on taking this kind of action. So even the threat of it might cost SISU a few more quid, which is excellent if like me you think this is...
