To much of a risk, give a few years, maybe (if he is managing in the FL)

Best football is winning football, I know, also, when you lose, people won't get on your back as quick if you lose playing good football. But, we don't have the XI nor squad to play hoofball, as AB found out.

John Sillett thinks Greg Abbott could do a job

Why do you think this? Idc if the manager is a prick, I care about his managerial prowess.

I'm Ready To Take Charge - Thorn

It's funny that, 12months later people are dubbed him the 'clueless one'. Funny that!

    Isn't Wise a 'hoofball' manager?

BBC SPORT : Wise and Blackwell among Coventry applicants

I'd be content with Wise, I personally want Abbott, but Wise appears to be the best - realistic - unemployed manager for us.

    Wise,Ince,Blackwell ect' ect'

Abbott for the job, failing that Wise (prob best realisitc unemployed manager) I liked Tisdale, but after seeing Exeter fans' views on him, just sounds like Thorn, they use pretty much the same reasons why people didn't like Thorn! I hope we don't play 4-4-2 though and play 'Hoofball'!

    League One = 4-4-2

Agreed. On S'hampton, they got promoted playing 4-4-2, they have played 2 games to far, 2 loses. They faired better v Man C than Wigan, why? Because S'hampton were able to defend better, but v Wigan, Aidkens noticed this, when they switched from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2, Wigan started to dominate...

Why I like the diamond and how it suits us.

Tbf, he is just stocky. He doesn't need to be fast, he needs to have skills to play AM, which he does and speed isn't needed, look at Xavi, Fabregas, Iniesta, Pirlo and. Silva

Why I like the diamond and how it suits us.

Bury actually switched to the diamond, in the 1st half, when they were playing 4-4-2, we destroyed them.

Why I like the diamond and how it suits us.

We have sh!t winger so a 4-4-2 would fail, like it did under AB, CC, ID, MA! Baker, Bell McSheffrey are terrible wingers, the formation we have atm, is better going forward, not as good as a 4-4-2 defending, but not many are, 4-4-2 was designed for direct football, 2 CMs ditribute out wide...

    League One = 4-4-2

Does that mean we have to like everyone else? Norwich are proof we don't need to change formation. End of. Btw, 4-4-2 is dead, e.g. Euros with England, when the diamond playing Italy torn us a new page, so badly, Mr. 4-4-2, ditched his favoured formation for the next game! Also, Swindon...

    Two horse race

No need to really, he was an able scout, could do both.

Why I like the diamond and how it suits us.

Ok, fair enough, but what formation DOES suit us? Much is being made of the exploitation out wide but when we defend, Barton + Kilbane defend wide, protecting their full back, I a 4-4-2, it would be Baker + McSheffrey, who are amongst the worst defenders I have seen in a Cov shirt. The...

    League One = 4-4-2

I think Italy, AC Milan, Santos, Norwich would have something to say about that! Diamond is proven.

Why I like the diamond and how it suits us.

When the fullbacks attack they have always have someone with them, the last 2 games, Kilbane + Baker (macca when he came one) have been out wide helping/taking the ball on. On a side note, I hope the diamond is kept!

    Two horse race

Well, we could afford a new manager, just AT did well and deserved a crack at the whip

Poll: Who should be next manager of Coventry City?

    No freaking wat! Exeter's Grendal!
  20. Mucca Mad Boys

    League One = 4-4-2

I disagree, Barton and Kilbane have been protecting their full back when we're defending. Assuming we have a 4-4-2 with Baker + Macca on the wings, that would leave the full backs exposed anyway because they're SH!T defenders, also, 4-4-2 restricts a passing game going forwar, so we lose...
