    Pace

Completely agree bar the pacey winger part, I feel end product prevails over raw pace. Christie is very good, needs to improve his crossing though, he does, however, make it up as he can cut onto his left and score. I think Clarke's cross for the 3rd was v good, ever since Barnsley (under...

Hopefully, he, along obvious others are shipped off.

    Baker / mcsheffrey

So would that mean keep Baker out? We won yesterday with Barton AMC in Robins' words "our best performance of the season".

    Baker / mcsheffrey

He isn't doing that well, he's scored 1 league goal? Barton should get the nod. Better goal scoring record this year (Barton 10 starts 4 sub, McSheff 9 start 6 sub) Barton and Moussa are our joint 3rd goalscorers in L1 (Ball got 3 but 0 in L1). Source: actim index

Where have all the Thorn lover's gone

It is impossible to say for certain if we would've stayed up or went down last year if AT had been sacked, unless you can rerun history, which we can't. We can only guess. I think we probably would've went down, the only thing that made it close was Pompey going into admin. We had Platt...

    Pace

It was aimed at people at people who felt we need a 100mph winger to do well. I agree with what you're saying, but I think we have one of the best, if not the best midfield in the league, Baker scoring for fun as well as chipping in for assists, Bailey same with assists, Jennings is a...

    Pace

I watched Raheem Sterling, Liverpool V Villa yesterday (free ticket)... He was awful, took it round the full back once, tbf, Liverpool were awful they had 27 shots (I was surprised at that figure) and didn't look like scoring (even tough did) awful, I wasted time up there! Wish I went Donny instead.

    Pace

It is quite amusing I haven't seen the phrase 'pacey winger' in a while on this forum. Now to the point of the thread, I think our recent form proves we don't need 100mph wingers, we have technically good wingers in Moussa (who tbf, has pace) and Baker, who have surprised me greatly, have got...

Where have all the Thorn lover's gone

That's your opinion, but the prevailing opinion was to appoint Thorn, he did well and deserved a shot, it didn't work out and it was apparent he was out of his depth, but if we hadn't of appointed him, there'd be people sat here now saying 'shitsu' (sounds like the dog, aha) should've kept AT...

Where have all the Thorn lover's gone

I think the topic is dead now, IMO, we're in a new era, the Mark Robins' era, which will hopefully be an era I can speak with pride about in the years to come.

    Robins new striker search

Lets get a fat mess to replace the dynamic McG, seems sensible  there's a reason he plays for Hartlepool.

Where have all the Thorn lover's gone

It was in the CET, that he was going to get sacked at the end of last season, but AT made promises that it'd all change if the board do their part, which, tbf, that didn't happen in our relegation season, so this summer, the lard backed him, we brought quality players, season starts, we make...

Where have all the Thorn lover's gone

Wasn't you an AT defender until recently? I rest my case. Hindsight is brilliant, I don't think many managers would've wanted to manage us last season, this yea we were more attractive to manage in a way A) great L1 squad B) great rep if you do well with CCFC this season (revival etc.)

Where have all the Thorn lover's gone

Aimed at me? Well it's true, the majority of fans are fickle. Many wanted Thorn, and, to be honest, getting relegated may be a blessing in disguise, our team now, is probably better than last seasons. We definitely have a better squad anyway.

Where have all the Thorn lover's gone

If SISU hadn't appointed AT, I included, would be outraged. He was clear fan's favourite and some, I not included, compared AT & Harrison to Sillett & Curtis  If we had sacked him this time last year, many CCFC fans would've blamed SISU for getting CCFC relegated because we sacked...

    Baker / mcsheffrey

Harsh as it is, McSheff should be dropped to the bench, Baker RM, Moussa LM, Barton AMC, Barton is doing well and he's scoring some great goals.

    this rent bollocks

What are the fans being put through!? CCFC is not going to cease to exist - neither side wants that! CCFC won't leave the RICOH - ACL don't want that and there are no viable altrnatives. It doesn't take a half intelligent person to realise that CCFC is not in danger.
