I never said it can't happen, it just won't, because Forest want to make a return on their investment, what stupid team would loan a player out for a season, when that player only has a year left on his contract!? When he came to CCFC, by jan, he would've been worth 50-100k, now he's worth...

I know about that, but I'd imagine, he'd want to get promoted this year - if he stays - so he doesn't waste another year of his career, he's got to make up for time he has been rotting in Forest's reserves. Also, I imagine he wants to go to a team 'on the up'.

Exactly, but I can't see many teams better than Forest wanting to take him - he'd be 3rd/4th choice.

I'd love it if he went to a team that gets relegated. If he doesn't go to CCFC, the best scenario is, he goes Notts County, we get promoted at their place and we sing the famous "it could've been you" song.

I don't think you can apply it to Bigi, he was wanted by a big team in the prem, and has made a few 1st team appearances, and scored a quality goal 2 (something like that) games ago, so I won't buy he left purely for money, he had an amazing career opportunity - he took it with both hands!

He's probably been the difference on midfield this year, has defensive qualities, as well as being able on the ball, his assists have been great, all splitting the defence open, or for Barton's goal, a lovely tee up! I think he and Jennings compliment each other well, Jennings isn't great on...

I wouldn't agree entirely with that, we've conceded in our last 4 league games. If we got promoted, I think we should look to sign a CB, or hope Cameron or Willis can step up (and be better). EDIT: I put 'n't' on 'would', I forgot, my bad, thanks to Rich for pointing it out.

I think it is 50/50, OR 40/60 he'll sign, we've gone through why he'd stay and why he wouldn't but to me, when he said "a good Christmas can define a season" was a hint that if we have a good Christmas, he'll stay, if win our next 3, we could be top 6 and on the up with Shrewsbury and Tranmere...

I'd rather Bury, they were lucky last time we played, team has dramatically changed from them and I reckon we'd best them in JPT.

That made me chuckle. I hope he stays, his service is top notch, and he is a lot, lot better than Hussey. If we reach the promised land (for us, now the Championship) I think we could sign him on a permanent (hopefully).

What about Bailey?

We can't really extend it... He's in his last year. We could've put a transfer price, but I suppose Forest would want to see how well he did before deciding what price they'd sell him, plus, if other clubs matched the bid, we'd still have to compete with the salary aspect...
