Tactically - Lampard is pretty good

The question is, if promted, will he stay? There will be plenty of suiters.

That's a bloody good result considering the circumstances and what played out. There are a few suffering the effects of the flu bug becuase Rudoni couldn't run late on, Torp nowhere near fit looking, Milan puffing his lungs out. Da Silva made a jusgement error tackle, not meant by any means but...

So far so good. High press, keep presure off us atthe back. Our talent is going forward. Deserved the lead, could be more. They will come at us, hope Eccles/Torp can step it up a bit more. Simms is made for this game. Really hope we don't waste this opportunity.

Seems a little drastic at the back, but neds must. This game before a Xmas period is the one we can let go so save Thomas, Kitch and Saka for then, let them recover. Eccles job is to help shore up midfield release Rudoni to do his thing and if we attack well there is some hope there. At least...

    Sold out already?

I have to answer this becuase you are taking a very pesamistic viewpoint with little regard or experience of funding such projects over the long term. Initially a relatively small expansion by adding to each end of the ground would not be that expensive to pull off. In the world of premier...

    Sold out already?

Like I said....the games much bigger these days. We have consistantly had great attendances since coming back into the championship. The premier league will require more capacity. Without it, there will be thousands of fans unable to see a game in their home ground!

    Sold out already?

Oh it would make absolute sense. Finacing it would be simple, and the flexability it would give the club very welcome. Doug would barely even need to put his hand in his pocket.

    Sold out already?

We will need a second tier building on when in the premier league. We need a capacity of 40/45k. Always said 32k was not big enough for a one club city the size of Coventry. The game is so much bigger these days.

Another interesting fixture. Difficult to predict. Saints on a run but just got halted so not so sure they are that good. Teams they played on that run not special. i would like to see us not lose at least. A loss and players heads will start questioning themselves. Up to FL to ensure that does...

Oh I agree that's not denialble. But my point was what was the 'feeling' after that game? Was I the only one who felt a little undewhelmed?

    Rushworth

Sorry but a goalkeeper is never in striker territory. He has not played for them in the premier league. 10m as you are suggesting would give us a whole new bunch of options. You're inflating worth. If we could not get him for 5/6m then I'd say no.

    Bristol Ratings

Anyone else today feel like we didn't win? Perhaps its just me but I didn't get the buzz from yesterday, and it feels like we are struggling just a bit. We got a late scarppy goal, didn't look too good for large parts of the game and Bristol should have scored at least on 3 occasions. Plenty of...

    Rushworth

We should sign him in the January window. I would have thought 5m would be enough, as he has never featured for them and is loaned out. The fact he is doing well for us atm is neither here or there at this stage, he could turn quickly into a flop. So 5m should get it done and worth the punt.

Rushworth - every good side needs a great keeper. He got us the win today. We struggled all game to find our form. So easily could have lost it. Bristol had no right to be in that position yet there we were. A fortunate win today which can be a sign of a good team having a mid term wobble. So...

Rudoni and Torp need to show up. Grimes not having his usual influence. Not using our width to any great effect. Ball is not dropping for us particularly. Enough of the sideways/backwards passing. Where's the surging runs? Feed sakamoto and get in the box. Kind of frustrating as we are giving...

Feels as though we are rushing and trying too hard and exposing our back line. Wright needs to be scoring!

We switched off for a moment, and a speculative stretched boot brought an equaliser. Overall with a slightly disjointed team again and some odd tactics tbh, for the second time in a row we were dominant, and always looked like winners. But Wright missed two glorious opportunities. Got to be...
