Match Thread Charlton Athletic - Coventry City Match Thread - Thursday 1st Jan

That's your opinion, mine differs as I already explained. We don't have a depleted squad as you seem to describe or we would not be top of the league. We lost several top players the likes of Rudoni and others, but had some of our best run of games....because we have a decent squad. Even...

Sargent was touted as the best striker in the championship before his injury. He's back and funny that since he was out Norwich find themselves at the foot of the table? Are you saying you would not take him?

Match Thread Charlton Athletic - Coventry City Match Thread - Thursday 1st Jan

We have to get over this 'he looks knackered' talk. They are professinal footballers, extremely fit. A day or two off and they are good to go full on. What's changed is the sickness that went through the camp, there's no doubt about that. Let's hope the likes of Torp, Rudoni, Saka, Grimes...

.............Rushworth............. MVE-Thomas-Kitching-Bidders ................Grimes.................. ..........Saka-Torp-EMC....... ............Rudoni............. ...............Simms............ No free roll for Rudoni, play him Number 10......but i don't think he will do it. Regardless...

    Strikers

Wrexham will not get promoted. We are top and eying promotion. Why wouldn't Moore come to us? I'd rather take Sargent now he is back from injury. I also don't mean as a replacement striker but an additional one will will need for the long haul we still face when others Wright especially are not...

    Strikers

I'd make a cheeky offer for Sargent at Norwich or Kiffer Moore at Wrexham.

Video Frank Lampard and Liam Kitching react to Coventry City's loss against Ipswich Town. 🎙️

Clearly got the bug too. Listen to his voice. I think it has devastated the squad. Big shout for not using it as an excuse. Thomas will be back for Charlton clearly and I sense he will rest Kitch.

It's looked likely the last few games tbh. The squad has clearly suffered through illness, that is not an excuse but clear to see. That has unsettled the side. Couple of tough games and a few chances missed when we were scoring them for fun a few games back combine to knock you down a peg or...

There is still sickness in the camp. Watching Milan unable to run back and just watch Clarke advance is a tell tale sign.

    The bitterness...

yeah that's the one. Got it the wrong way round!

    Half term report

What matters is will we continue or callapse? Can't see any kind of callapse tbh. Drop off here and there as pressure mounts but I don't see any other team in this division anyway threatening us. Top two is the aim.

    Rushworth

I've seen enough of Rushworth to know we have a gem of a keeper at a young age who will not be out of place in the premeir league. I fear the asking price but we can make that decision at the end of the season, his loan is not recallable.

    Gus Hamer

Nope, older less fit and not quite the player he was a season or so ago. We have better players already. Too many on here refuse to see that. The reason we are top is because we have some of the best players in this league playing for us!

    The bitterness...

For some of us who relate to a number of those 34 years in the top flight, The Fairs Cup, being beaten at home by Bayern Munich, and winning the cup in 87' I feel no bitterness. We had a great run. It's sad that instead of climbing back up in typical fashion, we failed to read the script and a...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

There was a time not long ago during our struggles, Norwich would come and take our best player and we could not refuse the money. Would be nice to go get Sargeant who must be pondering how it's all turning out for him this season. Top striker, team mate of Wright and would be a great addition...

Difficult to drop Wol after a good performance the other day. Thomas won't be super fit so will be on the bench.Wold will want to shine against his old club. Wright back in, Rudoni keeps his place. Bidders to contimue at left wing back. Torp should be over his sickness and is the type to crack...

Match Thread Coventry City - Swansea City Match Thread - Friday 26th Dec

Laboured. Typical Boxing Day game, having had too much Turkey! Not entirely convincing performance and we seem to have lost some mo-jo. Hopefully it will come back, but when you start to grind out results when not performing at your best, you deserve to be where you are. Other results played...

Not a problem here. An easy 3 points and back to scoring a few. Wright due a goal or two, Saka back, Milan fit and Bidders showing he will not be a forgotten man. Eccles to the bench. 4-0

    Sold out already?

Seems like a list down to ground capacity rather than pure support.
