    Pointless 10 point deduction?

If their (SISU) plan was to get promoted, and make a 'quick buck', there wouldn't have necessarily been a need to renegotiate the rent in the first place as 1.28m rent p/a when in the prem is affordable, + purchase of the RICOH would've been a possibility. With hindsight, assuming this was...

    Pointless 10 point deduction?

I do recall ACL (well Higgs) somewhere stating that if they sell, they'll make sure it's in the club's name. I stand to be corrected.

    Pointless 10 point deduction?

I thought playoffs were possible before the start of the season, that was before our form! -10 points is in danger of ruining our season, we'd be 5th without the deduction.

    John Fleck

I'm over the moon for the lad, and Thomas. All of them! I don't think many teams will be able to cope with our style, I'm pinching myself that we're playing so well. I think Barton will also come good when he plays. On the field, the feeling is positive like never before. ACL, SISU, sort...

Which teams will start to dip in form?

I'm starting to get confident about our chances you know, win the next 2 and we're in the mix... Playing well and I think the quality is there for the run to continue.

"This is what you could have won!"

The comparison was about quality of players lost, not a comparison of the clubs overall. As I'd rather be in their situation than ours...

"This is what you could have won!"

I've been misunderstood, it weren't a direct comparison, I'm just saying imagine if they could've kept those players, there's a reason they couldn't keep those players... Bale was sold for 5m, now apparently worth 85.4m.

    Everywhere I've looked says 1.5m

"This is what you could have won!"

We're a selling club, always will be, always have been, regardless of ownership (unless some oil-rich Arab/Russian takes over and we become like Man C). Some players left because we were a stepping-stone for their career, e.g. Westwood (rumoured to be on 30k p/w!) and Gunnar, who weren't...

    Match thread vs Gillingham

Yes I agree, but SP has already proven he'll make brave decisions like the bomb squad and releasing several players... I really like Clarke, I still think as of now, he's better than Wilson (Wilson obv in better form and has potential to be better) and Manset but Clarke could could find his...

    Jimmy's Hill Today

Personally, I don't see the point in travelling to Northampton to watch the game on the hill, that's just me, if I bothered (which I don't) to make the journey, I'd go in the stadium. The pure irony of my situation, last year, I wanted either Rugby or CCFC games on the Sunday so I could do...

    Match thread vs Gillingham

Harsh assessment, he's a very able finisher for this level, not far off McG. I get the feeling as the season wears on, we may play 5 in midfield, Wilson up front on his own, or a Manset and Wilson, Leon is playing well, scoring + creating goals, but his position may become vulnerable as SP...

    The second coming of Christ

I think a lot of people are guilty of criminally unrating the squad we had... That said, SP is doing a fantastic job, and all credit due to him... I was concerned with our defending after our first 2 games.

    Match thread vs Gillingham

Hasty comment... - Wilson isn't going to score in every game and we won't win every game! - we're not losing, so evidently, we haven't been 'sussed'... We've also hit the woodwork 2-3 times so we're still creating good quality chances. Now we're winning... Moussa scored (had a feeling).

I think there's a loss due... But not today (hopefully). 3-0 got a feeling Moussa will get on the scoresheet.

    McSheffrey signs for Chesterfield

Glad he's gone. Substandard for the division, and if I'm being honest, we shouldn't have signed him in the 1st, his record at Leeds was terrible, like his second-coming for us whilst unfortunately, being on a wage that was one the highest at the club. I think his attitude wasn't good either...

    Pressley is better than Robins!

Easy tiger! I think he's got off to a great start, and I hope things will continue. But still early days. His faith in our young players has paid off massively and he's demonstrated excellent leadership skills as well as having good judgement. I had faith in him (albeit the same could be...

    New kit.

I think it's quite nice, personally, I wanted stripes, it'd be better if it was all stripes on the back cut off bit at the top

    The boredom of it all

There's been around a 90% decrease in home attendances, and despite that plans to build a new stadium still continue. I don't think much would really change their mind... Personally, I still think we'll be back in the RICOH, by the end of the season/for next season.

Adding to our small squad :

Players like that can be past it e.g. De Zeeuw. Healy played 16 games for Bury last year, scored 1, a pen v us. In fact, his whole career he's been average and has lived off his intn'l reputation i.e. a handful of good performances.
