admin was never going to be a quick and easy solution. look at Pompey, they had a supposed football expert administrator put in at the request of HMRC yet were in admin over 12 months at a cost of more than a million and the day they were due to go to court after nearly a year of messing about...
it's a good point and the one thing I've never been able to work out. despite what some people seem to think noone on here who is handy with the figures has been able to find any evidence that SISU are actually making any money out of CCFC so why are they so desperate to hang onto it?
I think what we're getting to here is the difference between what is allowed under league rules and what is allowed by law. The league is a members club and they can make pretty much whatever rule they like. When ever there's been a threat of legal action from a member club to the league the...
My feeling is thats exactly the problem. In any other scenario it just wouldn't take this long to sort out. If FL have made a mistake in either splitting the share and the player registrations and / or have taken 10 points off when they shouldn't have then it could lead to all sorts of problems...
Being a Coventry fan has taught me to never say it can't get any worse! Of course any chance to get shot of SISU is something to be welcomed but we'd be wise to not blindly jump in with someone we know little about. A few initial questions I think we need answers to:
The administator chap (not...
So what do you expect the FL to do? If they are told by SISU and / or the administrator that no agreement can be made with ACL and that there is no other suitable venue in Coventry are you expecting the FL to turn round and kick the club out the league? They can't force SISU or the administrator...
the one thing it should give us is details of exactly who is owed what. pretty handy for anyone that wants to buy the club. in an ideal world that figure will be a lot less than the £60m that is thrown around a lot.
apparently the FL are keeping a very close eye on them and every transfer has to be authorised with strict spending limits in place. of course that only applies to the squad and they're already talking about spending on other thing such as expanding the ground which wouldn't be high on my list...
probably not high on the list of priorities at the moment but if you look at the wolves puma kit for next season I'd guess we'll have the same design, you can see them here
the blue and white away one is decent, wouldn't mind something like that.

should we read anything in to the fact that TF has reappeared in the last couple of days? he'd been quiet for a while but now, just as the administrator is due to report back, he's back on the scene. hope it's not going to turn out that SISU still have control over everything and we're stuck...
At home to Arsenal at the start of the 86/87 season. Wikipedia tells me it was 26th August and we won 2-1 in front of a massive 11,182. It's all been downhill since my first season as a supporter!
what does the current lease actually cover? if it's only for use of the ground for x number of days a year could holdings not have a separate lease? I appreciate there's the FL rule about having first pick of dates but we all know there isn't going to be 2 Coventry City sides in L1 next year...
