    Fisher Arena - potential locations

So what was the outcome then? This is from 2004 something must have happened since then, even SISU can't stall things for that long surely!

    Try this scenario

very probable. the route that removes any option of SISU dragging the league into court is the easy option. FL don't have any issue going forward, Appleton can basically give up on the whole mess and just liquidate the company, only losers (other than us lot of course) are ACL. what happens...

Will the trust come out and actively oppose a move away from the Ricoh ?

why more, not like the Ricoh is packed every week. A smaller ground designed with a view to future expansion if and when required would be perfect. not sure why it would be a bodge up. temporary stadiums are pretty sophisticated these days. several of the olympic venues were temporary, noone...

Will the trust come out and actively oppose a move away from the Ricoh ?

In theory could you not buy the land ASAP and then use temporary stands like these http://www.arenagroup.com/index.php/products/seating/ whilst building one stand at a time? Sure you still need planning permission but with a sympathetic council just outside of Cov that may not take too long...

Will the trust come out and actively oppose a move away from the Ricoh ?

of course it's a stupid idea and as i said i oppose the plan to move outside of coventry but if it does end up happening (and does anyone really think that SISU are going to listen to what we say) I would not be happy with fans being targeted because they have decided to go to games.

Will the trust come out and actively oppose a move away from the Ricoh ?

I'm not sure I would be comfortable with the trust trying to prevent people going to games. As much as I hate the situation we're in and would like rid of SISU (and ACL if possible) I support the 11 players on the pitch and it's not really their fault if they end up playing at another ground...

    Statement from administrator

so it looks like SISU, ACL and SBT have all managed to piss off the administrator. sure that will help things. He says "I want to reiterate my position as Joint Administrator for Coventry City FC Limited" who's the other administrator then?

    Fisher Arena - potential locations

Plan A would be to move just outside the area the city council has control. Plan B would be to fight the council, they can't refuse permission based on the fact they've fallen out with SISU and it would eventually move higher up the chain than the council. I'm pretty sure while all that was...

    Fisher Arena - potential locations

you could always build a stadium next to a rail line and then wait for a station to be built

    Fisher Arena - potential locations

Right then, rather than all the doom and gloom lets have some fun and get excited about our fantastic shiny new stadium ;) Assuming Timmy is serious where could it be? I've not lived in Cov since 1992 and pretty much the only place in the city I visit these days is the Ricoh so for those are you...

Nice Work Tim - Telegraph interview today

does make you think about 'I'm not going if we move out of Coventry' would a 2 min walk from the Ricoh really make that much difference???!!!

Nice Work Tim - Telegraph interview today

thanks for that. so if Timmy fancies buying up some of the industrial units next to the Rioch he could build a new ground and there would be nothing the council could do about it!

Is there a handy map somewhere showing exactly where the city of coventry ends? I assume this is also where the influence of the council over planning and such like ends as well.

Planning permission for a new stadium

would planning hold ups play into SISUs hands? they could go back to the FL claiming they're trying to move back but getting resistance at every point. What would the FL do then? I can see the 'you must move back within x number of years' being extended over and over again. why not call their...

So you need another ground ........ Rotherham did it

the problem you have is you're not having to answer these questions in a court of law, you're dealing with the FL and they don't appear to have the teeth for any sort of confrontation with SISU. I can quite easily imagine a meeting between Fisher and the FL where he convinces them he is in the...

The Golden Share...lets try some clarification of the issues at stake:

I'm starting to believe the same thing. On the one hand it does seem like a giant game of chicken between ACL and SISU that gets more out of hand by the day. I've always thought that SISU would eventually give up as I can't see any reason for them wanting to stay but increasingly I'm starting to...

Nice Work Tim - Telegraph interview today

I think we'd all prefer to lock everyone in a room until they come to an agreement and my gut feeling is that we will be at the Ricoh next season but I think ACL need to make the next move with regard to negotiation. Seems to me there is a total breakdown there and little chance of moving...

The Golden Share...lets try some clarification of the issues at stake:

golden shares are actual physical thing, i only know as the Pompey Supporters Trust tweeted about received theirs back from the FL. That means even the physical thing is lost, someone is refusing to hand it over or the FL hold it. I would say the FL hold it as in any other scenario surely they...

    Emails to The Football League

The FL will just send you a 'we don't comment on individual case' type response. Is this not an area that the Trust could be useful? With the help of Supporters Direct they could apply a bit of pressure on the league to get their finger out and do something. It's one thing to knock back...

    Emails to The Football League

think you're right, especially if the FL have messed up somewhere along the line and allowed the players to become owned by a different company to that holding the golden share. easy solution in that scenario is to ensure the company owning the players ends up owning the share, removes any...
