    The sack list

The problem at RB has been playing our RB at RW cos we’ve got no backup. Burroughs is back next season and I’d hope to kick on enough to cover the odd game without MvE but I’d also expect MvE to play most games next year. Maybe get a young player in ahead of Burroughs for when MvE likely leaves...

We had Fadz Thomas and Latubeaudiere id imagine the plan is to do what we did and play three at the back. He didn’t consistently get in the side until the end of October.

Some perspective please (for the bedwetters)

I think he was part of it, same as a happy O’Hare was, maybe not the grittiness of a Fadz, but certainly more than any of Wright, Simms, MvE, Thomas this season.

We first went in for Kitching a few days after the PO final.

Some perspective please (for the bedwetters)

I just think some people have a little more grit when the chips are down and are more likely to pull others up for a drop in standards and take defeats badly, in a good way. Saying “all pro footballers want to win” is like saying “all NBA players are tall”, sure, but some are taller than others.

What if you can only get three exciting signings if you trade in one solid one?

Some perspective please (for the bedwetters)

We’re talking a range across a distribution though. I’m sure they all want to win more than you or I, and that’s why they’re playing pro football and we aren’t. But equally among those with that baseline will to win some want it, or channel it on the pitch and raise others up, more than others...

Lads, do players leaving PL teams for £3.5m command wages as high as older ones leaving a mid table championship side with their contract paid up?

Some perspective please (for the bedwetters)

He added a lot more to our team that’s missing, like drive and passing range from deep, but yeah, he clearly wanted to win more than the average signing we made last summer who all seem to not “have that dog in them” that Vik, Fadz and Gus all did.

Some perspective please (for the bedwetters)

We lost Vik, Gus, Fadz and TBH it ripped the heart out of the team and we have replaced the goals of the first two but not the rest, especially their winning mentality. Godden and Kelly and Allen, the sort of second tier of that mentality aren’t near the side. The quality is mostly there, I...

    Home attendances

“Quiet quitting” use whatever euphemism you like. He’s putting so little in he’s effectively not available. Him and Kitching I blame far more for how this season has turned out than Latibeaudiere or Dasilva. When your big money signing and your supposed star player stop performing to where...

Transfer Rumour Coventry after Aussie sensation

Sounds like a decent shout for a Saka backup. Would be behind Saka and probably EMC to start with but might come good.

We need that many if we don’t lose anyone not out of contract TBH. I’d be disappointed if that’s all we sign, unless Sheaf stays and Collins sticks as number one.

What do people reckon we’d get for Simms? Long time left on his deal. Got to be talking North of £20m surely?

    Concerned now

I think both get more stick than is warranted when certain big money or big reputation players have simply failed to deliver this season. We are halfway through building a squad. We are playing fringe players more than desirable. Lats is 24, one of the youngest in the squad, he’s an...

    The sack list

GK (£2m) MvE Thomas CB (£4m) LB (£2M) CM (£4m) CM (£2m) Saka AM (£4m) Wright Simms S: Collins, Latubeaudiere, Kitching, Dasilva, Eccles, Torp, EMC, RW (£1m), ST (£1m) £20m spend. Sheaf £10m, Vik and Gus £10m. One CM and CB to be winning bastards above all else. Maybe save a bit with loans and...

Agree. But they didn’t and it did. So here we are on the beach.

Everyone’s on decent wages. We’re a championship football club. They won’t be close to the highest paid players. Let’s not start the Grendel/Palmer nonsense of making up a wage to be angry at.

    Concerned now

Dasilva arguably should have been first team. Latibeaudiere, Palmer, Eccles, are all players that with a proper squad size and the right people fit aren’t starting every week. Railing against them when they’re just doing their job of plugging gaps from injuries, suspensions, and believing your...

    Home attendances

Probably. I’ve done my time over the years and stayed to clap off teams that have just been soundly beaten, and I’ve never left early to get a shit pint in, so we can all play “I’m a better fan than you” Fact is everyone was distracted before Man Utd and done and ready for summer after. Fans...
