Virgin trains stop selling the Daily Mail

Just one copy sold per four trains. Seems like some can't accept that simple fact. ;) If it were me I would be seeking that one person out and asking 'WHY???' Guessing the answer might well be they were in a rush and picked up the Daily Mail in error.

Match Thread Exeter City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Jan

Should be truly buzzing. That win must have given the team so much belief. Really hoping we can kick on from here and have an elongated undefeated run.

Virgin trains stop selling the Daily Mail

Is it really!! Shows how long it's been since I bought a newspaper other than the CT. I reckon it's been 20 years.

Virgin trains stop selling the Daily Mail

Yup. Impossible to justify selling a newspaper that sells just one copy for every four trains!! I used to like the Independent, but if I went on a train that said they didn't sell it I wouldn't have any problem with that at all.

    McMafia

Yeah, it was just the 'whole lot' that threw me. It's the sort of show I could binge watch and view back to back, cos it simmers and brews as it develops.

    Hard Sun

Anyone watching? BBC One, by the writer of Luther and starring Jim Sturgess. I love Luther and and a very big fan of Jim Sturgess, so was very much looking forwards to this. Found it very entertaining, but rather daft in a number of places and laced with lots of 'ohhhh pleeeassse' moments...

How did you do that exactly? When I looked in iPlayer it only had the three episodes that have been shown. Didn't see any boxset option.

Virgin trains stop selling the Daily Mail

Very valid point. Anyone who wants to read the Mail on Virgin Trains would be able to via the app. Close thread.

Virgin trains stop selling the Daily Mail

Tough one. Was watching a debate on the Big Questions on Sunday. I find it hard to come down on one particular side or another to be honest. I do think complete freedom of speech can be dangerous, so restrictions of some sort do need to be put in place. You can say you have freedom of speech...

I don't think you can tell a shop what it can and cannot stock, unless something entirely illegal or without license.

Virgin trains stop selling the Daily Mail

My stance is that if Virgin do not want to sell the Mail they have every right to do so. If newsagents in Liverpool don't want to sell the Sun they have every right too. Surely a business such as these can stock whichever newspapers they want can't they. If I wanted to buy the Independent...

Virgin trains stop selling the Daily Mail

And no, it's not particularly what I have an issue with. It is more an issue of stance. If someone is murdered they cover the story. If someone is murdered by an immigrant they go to town with the fact that it was an immigrant that carried out the crime. It is their general stance on things I...

Virgin trains stop selling the Daily Mail

I can see this going off on a right old tangent. As I say, I just picked the first story I saw. Just type Daily Mail into the internet and see how many bad stories there are about them. False stories, xenophobia, being sued. Bottom line is, I stopped reading all the newspapers. Don't read any...

    It's a 30,000 capacity. That would make just a 4,500 allocation.
