    Have we signed

Mowbray was pretty clear about what his approach would be when talking to the CT and I see nothing to indicate anything has changed. He said he was happy with his budget and would identify roles that needed filling rather than individuals. Once that was established they would look for players...

    Season Ticket Sales

Pompey had a season very similar to ours in the division below. They were favourites for promotion with the biggest budget in the division yet were getting drawn into a relegation battle leading to the sacking of their manager and eventually finishing 16th. They also had an embarrassing FA Cup...

New kit announced in the coming days

All you really need is ticket sales, replica kits & training gear and hats & scarves. Then add in the small bits and pieces and that's your lot. What are people expecting us to sell that needs a massive store? It's not like we've got 50K turning up every week wanting to buy anything with the...

    Coventry City Film Night

When I lived in Cov, which was until I went off to Uni in 92, 'Cov is shit' was the general attitude of most people. Of course not knowing any better I assumed it to be correct. Having since worked in many different cities and countries I've realised its not that bad after all. Think what tends...

Be interesting to know if this is the clubs doing or something Just Sports insisted on.

    Season Ticket Sales

Doesn't what you are saying make it more likely the clubs statement is correct? If a lot of people aren't renewing the % of sales to new season ticket holders will be higher won't it? If everyone had renewed then the 670 new season ticket holders would make up a much smaller %

That's the one I looked into buying. Must be about 5 years ago when I looked into it.

Think most Americans just don't get it!

They even want arms in schools. When there's school shootings you get them saying teachers should be armed and / or there should be armed guards in schools!

Think most Americans just don't get it!

The right to bear arms arguement is rubbish anyway in my opinion. Firstly when it was put in the constitution, 1791, you'd be talking about a very different country and very different weapons. Secondly, it's arbitrary, if they believe in it completely are you allowed to arm yourself with a...

    Coventry City Film Night

I moved away in 92 and I've heard of it! Never been but it looks good. That area seems to be improving a lot. Few years ago I looked into buying a pub there and turning it into a music venue, didn't go for it in the end but kind of wish I had now with what they have done with the area.

    Mo Farah

Interesting piece on the BBC site with some details of how the testing works and how easy it is to miss a test: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/athletics/33189303 Also mentions that 8 other athletes missed tests in the year leading up to the London Olympics.

Would much rather have a smaller store near the ground that looks like its full of stock that some half empty mega store miles away.

    Latest SCG meeting

Think so. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be independent of the club so they can't impose a change. The obvious people to set something up would be the trust but the SCG and the club both don't seem to get on particularly well with the trust so that's probably a non starter. Maybe at the next...

    Mo Farah

Not without context they shouldn't no. As I mentioned earlier athletes have to miss three tests before action is taken, so Farah hasn't really broken any rules. The context that is missing is how Farah compares to other athletes. If its common for athletes to have one or two missed tests its a...

    Latest SCG meeting

I guess you would need an existing member to propose it. Of course the risk would be those who fear they may no longer be involved might try and block it.

New kit announced in the coming days

What on earth is happening with this? I can see how there could be a delay signing the new deal with Just Sports / Nike but once that was done surely its just a matter of picking a template and telling them what colour we want it. Plenty of people on this thread have managed to produce pictures...

    Ann Lucas

Never thought the day would come I'd be agreeing with the Conservatives but he's spot on here. Same reason they never mentioned it during the election campaign. How is Chris West still in a job? "It was a finger in the air figure, we didn’t have any information to go by". He's the same chap...

    Mo Farah

What the article is missing is how the number of tests Farah has missed compares with other athletes. If nobody else ever misses one but he's missed two then it looks a bit dodgy, although still within the limit for missed tests which according to BBC Breakfast is 3. If pretty much everyone else...
