    Waggot and Fisher

I give a shit if it turns out they're on £500K for doing nothing. Would much rather get rid and add that to our player budget.

Doesn't have to be a supermarket though, was just an example. Even with supermarkets in the right location they will still build. They've just started building a huge new Tesco near me despite the fact that within a few miles radius there is a Sainsbury, another Tesco, Asda and two Morrisons!

Now Ann has decided we're going to be part of Birmingham there will be some new options for where we can build a ground!

It's all a balancing act though isn't it. Land in the middle of nowhere is cheaper as there's little demand for it, it would then follow that other companies will be less likely to want to get involved in a deal similar to the one that saw Tesco contribute a large chunk to the Ricoh.

New kit announced in the coming days

The retro kit and the FA Cup one we used against Spurs were both bespoke. Believe you can have bespoke so long as you hit a certain minimum order. See Puma / Newcastle have managed to unveil their new kit with the Wonga logo on it a few hours after Wonga changed their logo and are now...

    Waggot and Fisher

Fisher got pushed out to pretty much just working on the fantasy stadium didn't he? Waggot does some of the management of the business side as when they were talking about the ticketing issues around the return to the Ricoh he took the blame for that and said it was his decision to either have...

If I was in charge of this project my first choice site would be the bit of land bordered by the M69, Central Blvd into the business park and Hill Park Wood. The infrastructure is pretty much there, believe there's even an underpass already in place. Business Park could provide additional...

Broadstreet wouldn't be too dissimilar would it? You could probably make an argument for Ansty Business Park as well although the bulk of the housing there would be the other side of the showcase from any new ground.

    season tickets /regular attendance

Mowbray was talking in his press conference about making sure we have the right players and making sure we keep them under contract so they are here for as long as we want them and can't just walk away for nothing at the end of the season.

To be fair he said he was talking his phone with him and would still be working every day.

Tony Mowbray midlands today interview in full...

From the press conference on Sky Blues Player he's got money but he'd rather spend it on wages than fees. He's happy that he's got pretty much a clean slate so lots of funds, relatively speaking, to work with rather than having to get rid of people to bring someone in. His theory seems to be...

It's all part of the Ricoh / Tesco site isn't it? People talk like you just open a business and make a fortune. A hell of a lot of business fail totally and a lot more don't make a great profit. I'm not sure going off at a tangent with a new business is the way forward. We have people employed...

    Aspirations

As bad as our squad was last year if we had beaten 5 teams at home who finished below us we would have been in the play offs. With a better squad and a better manager the play offs should be the minimum we are aiming for. As irrelevant as the JPT is in the grand scheme of things I wouldn't say...

This Player Cull / Retain List

Can't really disagree with any of that. When it came up on my facebook feed the way it had been shortened made it look like we'd retained Nouble, Barton and Webster!

This Player Cull / Retain List

Possibly but would that be players who have agreed to stay? If they're out of contract they could go anywhere, would they agree to stay at this stage if they thought they could get a better offer elsewhere?

    Mowbray Era Begins The Choices

I'm working on the basis that he is happy with the budget on offer as early on in the contract talks it was said that finance was not one of the issues that needed to be discussed. I can't imagine he's agreed to manage on a budget he doesn't feel gives a chance of success.
