Which doesn't guarantee the collector goes into the ground and scans their ticket and we both know there are people who'll sell their tickets. I can see a logic where this works for home games but it's still a pointless exercise. For a few reasons: 1. For most away games, STHs will get tickets...

Are you aware of any club that tracks this? The obvious roadblock is that clubs may not want to share this info because it’s admin for them. Not all clubs have electronic turnstiles, iirc Sheffield Wednesday don’t. It’s just not worth the hassle or workload for the club for something that isn’t...

It’s not our turnstiles… home games there’s argument for this but what will inevitably happen is that an extra layer of admin will be created for instances where points haven’t been added etc. Our points system is about as good as it gets. Everything is a flat tariff and you get the points at...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

It allows us to get to Jan and re-evaluate I reckon. If Sakamoto and EMC are expected to play 90m a game week in, week out... It's a matter of time before one or both of them breaks down and gets injured. Hopefully, Rapha and BTA can step up whenever they're asked to play out wide.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

4 goals in 30 games is ok, it doesn't strike me as a signing that would take the team to the next level. That said, I felt the same about Rak-Sakyi and he was an important player for Sheff U last season. I'll keep an open mind and signing on a permanent means we reap the benefits of developing...

    Millwall cup tickets

A legitimate concern. Our next 3 away games are Leicester, Millwall and Wednesday and that will set you back £80-100 for tickets alone whereas Millwall in the cup for 10 less points costs £12, it's an absolute bargain. That said, I'm less concerned about the super fans on 1700+ buying tickets...

In practice, this is what’s been happening and even where claims are denied, v few people are actually removed. What else is driving the increase? The Rwanda scheme was failing because the courts were grounding flights which demonstrates the need to repeal certain laws and pass primary...

If it means rubber stamping people into the country, it doesn’t change how angry people are on this.

This is why you need a deterrent and it’s no surprise crossing has gone up since Labour scrapped Rwanda. It’s the only significant change this The home office needs to be committed to turning back boats (or other means) to France, refuse to grant asylum claimants to anyone who rocks up...

It started in 2018 before Brexit. The issue we have now, in my view, is that we’re wedded to the Human Rights Act and ECHR which has made it increasingly difficult to remove people in violation of our laws. There is overwhelming public support across all major parties to deport foreign...

Ordinary people who actually live in those countries don’t tend to agree with your tourist experiences. People see the way the communities and way of life is going and they don’t like it. On the ‘fall of Rome’ point, it’s not as if Roman society and elites were aware their societies were...

Agreed, that ‘hard left’ has been thrown around too much in the past. I’d argue the trend started with decrying anyone to right of David Cameron as ‘fascist’ probably led to Corbyn’s vilification using similar tactics… I suppose that’s beside the point.

When people call Farage “far right”, it’s a fundamental misuse of the term. By most historical standards, he’s just a typical 80/90s era-Tory and would’ve remained as such had he not been kicked out over his Brexiteer views. The failure of the political class to address immigration has started...

If you truly believed this was the state of Britain, why did you and many others kick out the Tories if everything was all well and good? The country was angry and still is. In normal times, you wouldn’t get this at football matches. I touched on this back in May, but the amount of ‘Reform’...

    Would you swap…?

You have 2 players to make a Day 1 impact in the Prem and with the riches of Prem money, we probably go out and spend a lot of money upgrading the team. Personally, I believe we’d have made a better fist of staying up than Luton and even Burnley that year.

    Millwall cup tickets

Nope, you buy the tickets and get the points shortly afterwards. As far as I can tell, the club does not monitor (probably cannot) if they’re used or not. I’ll personally go to both games but it will be those kind of games where it’s more of a struggle.

Exactly, we won’t sell that out either and come end of the season the same arguments about ‘closed shop’ will reemerge. We’ve got some honking midweek games this season but that’s where the points are at!

    Millwall cup tickets

100% - the ‘closed shoppers’ never complain about these games being sold out… funny that! I do think Millwall away was one of the worst draws we could’ve had. Not a new ground and logistically challenging to get to compared to other grounds.

    Millwall cup tickets

At £10-15 a ticket and 30 points… many will just buy a ticket and no go. It’s worth 3 league away games that’d set you back £80-100 just in ticket prices alone.
