Then the club should have been allowed to buy the Higgs 50% they bid on but that didn't happen. Why should the club now be at the mercy of Wasps just so we don't risk making the council look bad. If you care about the city of Coventry you should care about its football club, irrespective of if...

Going off that tweet Gilbert has fallen for the council PR line and failed to ask them any relevant questions. Why are they talking about the planning process when that's not the stage this is out? Should be talking about the council granting the club a forward contract on the site as they have...

Bet they'll be popular at the council. Shouldn't they all be keeping to the same story? As they've obviously seen a full planning submission with the associated reports on infrastructure etc perhaps they could share it with the rest of us. Or are they just shooting their mouths off without a...

Haha, I'd laugh if that was it. 'Its a school it has to be used for education'.

I've just listened to it, it was Gilbert that said the site was restricted to educational use. You're correct that Andrew Walster was also on but he didn't say anything about the site being restricted to educational use. Interestingly Gilbert declared Walster was the councils head of planning...

Just listening now, its Simon Gilbert who said it. The whole piece on CWR is a waste of time to be honest as its centred around planning which is not the stage we're at. Its a council PR piece fed to Gilbert and he's gone with it rather then fire back the relevant questions about a forward...

    Wasps current finances & hope

Coventry beat Wasps, Wasps lose to Coventry. That works even better.

Thats your key line there. We know they were happy to ground share as they submitted a business plan on that basis. Then the council got involved and they backed off. Not hard to see why when they need the council onside for their own ground development.

Personally I wouldn't just sit back and wait 5 years as I've said earlier in this thread. I would suggest the council put a time limited forward contract in place, exactly as they have done for Wasps, that requires SISU to submit and get approval for a planning application in a specific...

Where are you getting this education restriction from? There's no mention of it in any documents relating to the site on the council website as far as I can see. The council themselves have public stated the land could be put to other uses including housing. In fact a strong argument could be...

Screw putting in a full planning application with experts devising a transport plan. LAST and Magwitch have decided its not possible.

Surely if this proceeds then the requirements have been met for SISU to drop the legal action and we sign a short term deal to stay at the Ricoh until the new stadium is ready.

The council have repeatedly stated when talking to the telegraph its designated for education and sporting use. If they're suddenly claiming its education only that needs checking. Several grade 2 listed buildings but it appears that listing is relatively easy to remove and there is room for a...

    EFL Stadium Vote

Was any explanation given as to why this was done via the trust rather than via the clubs database of supporters which would have had a much greater reach?

    24 Hours in Police Custody

The no comment thing does my head in, how the police sit there and take it I don't know. Should be illegal to just sit there and no comment everything, or be taken as an admission of guilt.

Which of course is exactly what the council have done for Wasps with regard to building a hotel on car park c. Don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect similar treatment for the football club.

All depends if people are gullible enough to keep falling for ‘but SISU’. If they aren’t there will be more questions for the council to answer and they aren’t doing a very good job with that so far. Let’s not forget in a matter of days the council line has changed from there never being any...

Completely agree. What’s coming out of the council is inconsistent at best. They say they’ve ‘only’ had this yet have confirmed meetings have been taking place. Why are they having meetings then? And of course once again we see different criteria applied to Wasps. Did they submit a full...

You could fit both on the site, doesn't have to be one or the other. As has been shown in this thread you can fit a stadium in without touching the existing buildings the council want to bring back in to use.
