Championship Club Membership - 1st Sept

1800 sold according to Boddy's update 3 days ago. Would have thought most season ticket holders would have already got theirs if they are intending to so you've got the next priority period of members, JSBs and match package holders before general sale. Not sure if by members they mean people...

Match Thread Bristol City V Coventry City

That's weird. Thought you just had to file the paperwork and it was pretty much automatic from there. What's the hold up?

If Robins says he never had him a chance I expect we'll be announcing his signing soon!

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

A £15bn boost would be incredible work by the government to be fair as according to the ONS trade in 2019 totalled £31.4bn which was a record year. Imagine it will impact the car industry significantly, will be interested to see Grendel's take on the deal given his experience in that area.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I"m not sure we're going to get significantly better deals than we did as part of the EU, which is of course what was promised. Pretty much as soon as the result was announced that started being rowed back and talk changed to getting deals as good as the EU which all seems to make the whole...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Good news that we have an agreement in principle for a trade deal with Japan. Of course the devil will be in the detail in terms of what it gives us that last years EU - Japan deal lacked.

    Behind closed doors

I don't get the mentality of supporting the club but doing things like this which directly deprives the club of income at a time they desperately need it. Appreciate there are people that can't afford it but some of the Facebook streams have a couple of thousand watching. Over the course of...

Had a closer look at the daily testing capacity figures that are published. Seems that in mid June they added in over 100K a day capacity for antibody tests which they've rolled into the total testing capacity figure. Bit misleading IMO but explains why every day it shows huge amounts of unused...

Same at Moat Street. It’s exactly what people have been complaining about for days. There’s sites sat virtually idle while people are sent to test sites miles away and arrive to find massive queues. Meanwhile the government are still releasing daily figures saying we have huge amounts of unused...

Are there not already existing systems that could be adapted? What happens if you do a distance learning degree or other FE course in a practical subject, or is that just not an available option?

    Fans back in !!! kinda

Doesn't bother me in the slightest, not sure why you think it would. If BHSB is enjoying being furloughed then good for him. Might surprise you to know I don't sit here wishing misery on others. To be fair I'd be a lot less worried about not having a job come November if I was due to retire a...

    Things that annoy you

Having to have constant work meetings when on furlough is annoying enough but having hauled myself out of bed (not being lazy, just taking advantage of furlough to be able to watch the NHL playoffs in the early hours) stop cancelling them literally 5 minutes before they're due to start!

    Jodi

Didn't he get a new contact while recovering from one of his pervious ACL injuries? Can't imagine he's on mega bucks. Presumably by the end of this season they'll have a good idea if he's going to be able to play or not so trust the judgement of the medical and management team. Hopefully it...

The other option is effective treatment. For some reason it seems very difficult to get information about that unless you have the knowledge to read pretty in depth medical papers. Does make me wonder if there hasn't been much advancement in that area as you would have through they'd be shouting...

    Fans back in !!! kinda

Its not one or the other. You can be worried about the virus, depressed from lockdown and lose your job with the financial mess that follows. I know personally I'm worried about getting it, my anxiety (which is normally pretty mild) is through the roof and I potentially don't have a job in 6...

    Fans back in !!! kinda

I was considering getting one for exactly that reason. Can't go to games but if the majority of the season is BCD worth buying to support the club. But then people started talking about letting fans back in as early as October which put me off. At the moment I reckon fully open grounds by spring...

Feel for you mate. I'm lucky enough to be getting furlough payments but that ends soon and I'll be completely screwed if I'm not back in work when they end. Buying a house just before this all kicked off could end up being a huge mistake for me. If I was still renting and made redundant my...
